I have heard that some people cry when they watch this part of the movie. I can understand why some people cry. If you watch the movie, she worked so hard to get into the dance school, and then she makes it even with the odds against her. Oh what a feeling! Hence the crying.

An epic song and performance that has yet to be surpased!! For those of you post CD era that black spinning disk you saw in the beginning of the video is a prime example of a LP or Vinyl with all of its unique sound characteristics that came with playing real live records!! God I miss the mesmerizing spin of the LP, the crisp sound that comes from a brand new vinyl along with a new diamond needle in the arm. CD's are good but don't match the listening experience of a record!!

Being a dancer as perfect as she is, requires a lifetime of study and a continuous practice improvement. Is a Life Style, just like being an actress.

So, you can choose one of them, but not both, and if you want a perfomance so perfect like this one really is, obviously you need a 100% professional dancer.

Just such an inspiring, uplifting movie, and finale..that as Nick says to Alex earlier in the film, "You give up your dreams, you die"...so as you see here, after Alex falters, she..gets back up! and goes for it! & as the song says, "Take your passion & make it happen". Yes it was. They hired a dancer who had a mustache/ facial hair who refused to shave it of. So they had to be extra careful when they shot the part when she starts spinning on the ground. Most of the jumps and leaps were her though.

Marine Jahan was her double and she's in almost all of it - except the swan dive (done by a female gymnast) and the floor spin, which was most definitely performed by a male dancer, just see 3:04. I'm 100% sure it's a man (no boobs, a lot more muscle than both Jennifer Beals and Marine Jahan and a lot less... waist?)
