Chael Sonnen is not on roids he has a medical condition which he told the athletic commission about before he fought Silva. I hear people complain about Silva's rib, but Chael wasn't 100% either. Yeah I just watched it again to be sure. Silva was tooling Okami the entire fight, short as it was. Silva was popping him standing up, stuffing his take downs, and in a very active guard when he upkicked him. Tell me, what part of it was Okami doing well, the desperate single was his only active part in the fight.
That's how I saw the first fight too. Okami did get the takedown, but there was no way that Okami was winning that round even with the takedown...Okami's main problem is that he isn't half the athlete that Silva is. Silva/Okami 2 wasn't about poor gameplanning. It wasn't about Okami trying to box with Silva (although that was really dumb). Okami's style and strength just weren't enough to bridge the gap in athletic talent.

I just don't like all the "rules" in fighting. It limits the fighter's potential.
I like to fight with shoes, not barefoot, I like to be able to do thing you can't do in ring fight.

It still requires SKILL to hit those in a fight.

Chael Sonnen is not on roids he has a medical condition which he told the athletic commission about before he fought Silva. I hear people complain about Silva's rib, but Chael wasn't 100% either. No fighter is. The only thing Anderson did the entire fight was the triangle.... That's it. Same thing a number of guys caught Chael with. Including Forrest Griffen.

That's how I saw the first fight too. Okami did get the takedown, but there was no way that Okami was winning that round even with the takedown...Okami's main problem is that he isn't half the athlete that Silva is. Silva/Okami 2 wasn't about poor gameplanning. It wasn't about Okami trying to box with Silva (although that was really dumb). Okami's style and strength just weren't enough to bridge the gap in athletic talent.
