@LittleJayneyCakes Right-click the english patch. Run as administrator and set it to compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 3 or something. That usually fixes this problem. Also forgive me for my lazyness when it concerns answering these comments... this video is just so old anymore... I think I'd die if I still had to use that old computer in this video.

@ClementineFlFlFl DaybreakDX is the expansion version. That means you must install Daybreak before. In DaybreakDX, it has more characters (Hanyuu & Natsumi), weapons (third one), scenarios (such as Rena-Rika story), costumes (penalty game), maps (night ver for school map), etc... it also upgrades Netplay.

Ok so these are my problems first of all WTF is wrong with Takano. Her whole character model is like a clusterfuck and when you play has her the stages get messed up. Second when I play has Hanyuu her lock is messed up. It appears has big white squares. Finally how do you install the english patch.

If you want Daybreak Kai, yes, you need to download the original and the expansion. The CD Audio files aren't required.

You are apprently missing a crucial file to the game. Search the file up and download it, then paste the file into wherever you think is missing in.

@RagunaIsMaiWaifu Download the latest update and run the application you get once you patch the game (Try the english patch as well). Also make sure your running the DaybreakDX-en application and not just the Daybreak application or it won't work.

***Note: It's probably something with the preform patch...? I don't know why, but I can get it to start downloading or whatever it does, but after a couple seconds it says it has some sort of issue and has to close down...it does this everytime i open it!

@xXHiddenXxXHikariXx Right-click the patch and click properties. From there, select compatibility and have it run as Windows Xp service pack 3. That should fix your problem.

i just got a game, but every times i enter game, i got following error:

1. the game freezes and shut down (that happens quite few time)

2. the UI getting flashy and disappeared (thats what happen to me right now)

3. when i skip intro, the game freezes and didn't proceed to menu page

(This isn't one of the main games, of course... the anime is based off of the main games.)

@Luigy151 Netplay's fairly simple with Higurashi Daybreak. As long as you have a good friend that you can trust with your IP address then it's pretty self-explanatory. However if you don't want to give that kind of information away you can always have you and your friend download Himachi which will create a generated IP address that you can use in place of your real one.

@donne0820 The english patch should've translated the menus on all of the screens including the battle results at the end of versus. There's also a patch that translates the video at the beginning with subtitles as well as a patch that translates the twin sister's route.

i have a problem...when i go to my computer, it doesn't show 'daybreak' anywhere, i tried going to 'owner's documents' and copying 'daybreak' from there, but when i paste it into the folder im told to paste it to, it says that it can't because its the sorce folder or something....i mounted the folders, but they aren't there...

@usako773 Man, I wish I could help you. There are a lot of people with that problem but I don't know why it happens. All I can say is make sure you're using the DaybreakDX.exe and not the Daybreak.exe.

@zex95966 Use the netplay option on the main menu. If you don't want to give out your IP address to the person you want to play than I recommend using a program called Himachi which will make a fake IP address for you that still allows you to connect to one another.

daemon tools is bad it makes it so your dvd drive doesnt work, use alcohol 52% it is better and you can set more virtual drives without wrecking your dvd drive
