Paul Dalton's work really is an aspiration to me, I am a professional valeter at Jaguar and find the work and detailing more of a pleasure than a job. To do this properly it needs to be a passion in the blood to ensure the best possible detailing. I like to think I do a good job, where my limits tend to extend to detailing lifted door handles and claybar-ing brake calipers. Then you see Paul's work....wow! Well done Paul, I am always searching in your footsteps!
He isn't expensive at all, considering the value he can add to your motor and the money he can save you from the amount it would cost to get a new paint job. Paul uses a citrus de-greaser for the fact it loosens most of the dirt, which will then be pressure washed away without even touching the paintwork. The job is to try and remove as much dirt as possible using a touch less process so when the sheepskin mit, etc comes to contact with the paintwork, the chances of swirls are very minimal.
Yes, a more potent cleaner hould only be used if you plan on restoring exterior with a 1 to 5 stage etc process... this all depends on the condition of the finish and how much a customer wants to spend...
this ghy is so detailed! and he should be! this car deserves it! i especially like the rims! they are perfect! wayy better than standard 6sth series rims! :)
True that! It surprises me how many people here don't know anything about detailing a car properly. A degreaser, when properly diluted, can remove road tar, rubber, bird poop, bugs splatter, and old wax that a regular car soap can't remove. He's doing this so that the paint will be free of any contaminants and be ready for a polish then wax. Obviously the degreasing solution shouldn't be used everytime you wash a car. Only when prepping the paint for a full exterior detail.
He doesn't. He washes, degreases, washes again, clays and then washes again. Then it's on to paint correction, and after that, you guessed it, he washes the car again. Pretty labor intensive but when it's done, it is C-L-E-A-N!

what a nob this guy is, all he can do is wash cars, he cant even detail correctly, cant even afford a full size bottle, this guy is a fad, just like designer jeans they come and go. soon he will be gone, i have seen people at shows who know how to detail a car, wathc the vids he is a scam, he makes so many mistakes, i was just watching one of a Ferrari being washed he washed the sills down spraying the water up the car putting specs of dirt on the car again,
Sorry ! what do I mean here if they can do special job for their own cars such as I said above or still the mircale detail can offer more getter job :) I'm just little a bit puzzled for where to go for a better job because I'm about to get bmw car :)
anyways I wish for you a blessing times once again and god bless you :)
yaa,i understand,of course they have this kind of workers but they are not that good, and if you got your car there is many different places you can do your car there.
I wish for you such a great enjoyable time with your M6 car. OK, I need to know if the BMW company can offer special job for their cAn you such as like waxing, polishing, degreasing.

Why degrease instead of clay the paint? Or did he already do that?
starlionblue 3 years ago
you degrease before you wash the car. then you clay, then you wash the car again.
JgHaverty 2 years ago
I don't know of any detailers who clay before washing?
