and 4 the ones like that doesnt know the NAME OF THE SONG, its named "Fever" is a song credited to Eddie Cooley and "John Davenport" (a pseudonym for Otis Blackwell). I've heard Peggy lee and Elvis singing versions of this song. Thx 2 youtube user John1948t 4 the info.
ive read comments that old that piers from AGT said he cant sing, but i guess peirs was talking about the brother of LD the older one that usually plays drums. I'm almost sure that in AGT LD never sings, just plays armonica. (sorry if i made mistakes writing, i usually speak n write in spanish, but i like very much LD music)
Good harp playing. Needs to play more slowly and soulfully in accordance to the arrangement of the song. He has this ability, because he demonstrates it a few times. Just needs guidance. Good singing for a kid whose voice has not changed. Wow!
The first time I saw him was when he has 9, and could play just as good then. A true talent has been intrusted in this kid and he sure as shit knows how to use it. Go Clayton-Miller Blues Band....keep goin strong.
he can play, really well. the thing that makes him boring after a while is that hes quite repetetive. hes got the same structure on his solos all the time. i guess that when he gets older he will be better to vary his playing.
dasilvaec, ur of comment 3 months ago. I have a 13 yr old grandaughter that sings the blues, she has lived it , due to complete abandonment , don't tell me kids can't feel it , they are ppl just like you and I , with same feelings.. the protective bubble for kids no longer exists.. This kid is going places, he is awesome
LD is the best. He is so awsome. Best harmonica playing 12 year old boy ever. Actually best harmonica player. Thats more effective when talking because the . is said and not placed.
Great style. I also don't think an 11 year old can truly feel the blues (especially when he's singing about the fever he gets from a woman, or some woman who's done him wrong), but this kid can PLAY the blues, and I have big respect for him. The experience will come with time, and he's got all the talent in the world to back it up when it comes.
nowawdays, you'd be suprised what 11 years have to endure. Hopefully not much for this bright star, but life has changed since we were children.... he still rocks though
he's pretty good, but i don't know how i feel about an 11 year old playin the blues, i mean at the age of 11 you haven't experienced the trials and sorrows of everyday life. I don't wanna sound like im downplaying this kid at all because he is amazing, but if you think about it, it's just a forced sound, he can't really be putting any feeling into it.
Sorry brother, he CAN put feeling to it. Some people are just BORN with "it". Feeling the blues, is all internal. You can't tell me just because he hasn't endured hardships he can't play the blues with feeling...b.s.
I've been playing for 15 years (since i was 12), and this kid one of the best i've heard. I definitely wasn't near that far advanced after only 6 years of playing. He does tend to rely on draw hole #4 excessively, but he'll get out of that eventually. LD miller is exceptional and the scary thing is that he'll only get better.
Piers said he couldn't sing on that one particular first performance on the show, and I agree, he was really way off key but rocked on the harmonica. He needs to stick with the harmonica. I've checked out loads of videos of him on here and he outshines everyone on stage when the harmonica breaks out, but blends in with the dull musicians when he sings.
can you imagine this kid in a school talent show? LOL...they probably can't have them at his school! Yes he can sing, hearing the vocal dynamic in his voice at this age, and his voice hasn't matured, imagine how good he's gonna be in 5 years....lol He'll make more than a million on his talent but I still hope they win.
DIdn't someone on that show say he couldn't sing??? This video is 2 years old I guess from when he was 10 YO....I guess that proves him wrong. Even just with a rehearsal, his voice has such nuance and inflection for his age. ANd I don't think there's anythere more to say about his harmonica playing but WHOA.
LD...
...kicks butt on the harmonica
...has a blues voice at such a young age
...has the moves of a natural performer
He will go far if he can get out on his own!
