  • In terms of funk, this song is over the top. A masterpiece!

  • I used to think James Brown was talkin' smellin' somebody's fart.....my silly ass back in 1979.

  • owww, good god, oww ayyyyyyyyyyy, too funky, mofo, funk me up, ye'all ow good god, ye'all owww wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, bass beat yo, owwww, too funky, um, say it again, owww, when i, when i kiss myself, oww, good god

  • Great tune. This recording needs a tad more bass. Cheers though.

  • The Godfather Of Soul! Funky Really In Here!

  • u ever go to a place or house that smells bad? if my mom & I did, we'd sing this to each other & crack up. I focused mainly on the chorus, I like what he sings about windows & doors. rofl. never paid attention to that.

  • This also is a good song to work out to ...and I love this particular post right down to the authentic 'sizzling' sound of REAL OLD SCHOOL! Thanks!

  • Thanks for posting this joint on here,Mazza 1964. I was just transfered to P.S. 71 from P.S. 107 while I was in the middle of the 2nd grade.

  • @kingcoach13 What dyu mean sounds like hendrix at his greatest?

    1. It dosnt sound like hendrix cuz hendrix never played funk like this

    2. hendix at his greatest blows basicly anything out of the water, especially that solo.

and no steavy ray vaughan way not technically superior to hendrix, and he CERTAINLY wasnt creatively superiour. theyre both great guitarists, but like mesaman1970 said, do you even play guitar?

  • The king may be gone but not forgotten !!!!

  • the best part is the guitar riffs in the middle of the song.. sounds absolutely like Jimi Hendrix at his greatest.. but we all know he never did come back from the dead to play again.. or did he?

  • @kingcoach13 You obviously haven't listened to much hendrix..

  • @mesaman1970

you obviously never listened to the riff in the middle of the song.. the guy is all over the place.. from one end of the neck to the other, with some terrific fingerwork.

incidentally, stevie ray vaughn was THE superlative of the genre.. technically & creatively superior to jimi in every way. try to emulate stevie ray on COLDSHOT or

PRIDE & JOY.. sheer perfection.. in every way.

  • @kingcoach13 Are you talking the little guitar solo that starts at 2:35? That aint shit.. Srv was not more creative than hendrix in my opinion.. He may have been technically better , but he owes the majority of his style to hendrix..Do you even play guitar?

  • Classic vinyl !!!

  • Ancora un gran pezzo di JB, un po'meno suonato (a torto) rispetto agli altri famosissimi ma sempre valido. Bravo Themazza
