the gloing drippy stuff is sparks due to high temperatures melting the metal.
the towers collapsed because the fire ripped through a section high up in the buildings.
when the supports couldn't withstand the heat and fire any longer, the top section fell as a block.
the weight caused the floors underneath to buckle and the tower floors to fall like a deck of cards.
WTC 7 collapsed through structural weakness, caused by tremors when the twin towers collapsed not demolition.

the weight of this was overwhelming for the support beneath and in the impact zone, and caued it to crash down the length of the building.
WTC 7 actually caught fire on numerous floors in the building. they raged for many hours.

they've been trying to get those buildings demolished for years. the permits were denied because of asbestos. so, kill 2 birds with one stone... neocons get their war, silverstein gets a new skyscraper and pile of money.
