  • Wonderful pure Carnatic music devoid of gimmicks. However the violinist has to learn how to accompany! For that basically he/she should listen more and be heard so much!

  • great reference!great recording!

  • Violin is not needed for a flute concert...both are same sounding instruments..In this violin is above flute...

  • The violinist should have been careful not to sound the violin far above the flute.... Now it sounds like a Violin Solo.... Its disturbing....

  • Nice to hear the flute and artist that I grew up hearing every day as my neighbor!

  • KSG is a great flautist, and it is a pity he is not known much outside Kerala...and the violinist needs to tone it down a bit, so that the flute is prominent, don't you think?

  • Transcendental meditative music ... "The silence between the notes...It's the silence between the notes that makes the music" – Zen proverb

  • It is sad that the violin accompanist doesnt allow flute to be heard once the varnam starts. But the raga alaapanam was awesome.

  • its sad that he is not doing concerts to the public.

  • There was a temple in Ernakulam where KS used to come every year to perform. I nearly missed it this time when I visited Kerala. It makes me nostalgic about it. KS is an amazingly great artist who shuns publicity. Of course my favourite too. Ragas like Revagupti(gopalaka pahimam) have a rare appeal when KS plays it

  • thanks a lot for uploading a composition of my favorite flautist. don't find them as often as others.

  • Your are most welcome. :-)
