  • Despite the best efforts of parents, many children turn out exactly the way nobody wanted them to...

  • We're all individuals, and as such you could bring up two children exactly the same, yet they can turn out so opposite to each other, although I do agree a child's behaviour can mirror that of their parents, it is not necessarily the be all and end all or the 'root cause' of bad behaviour.

  • ... Why exactly did we need to know that?

  • Keep posting!

  • Entirely agree, Peter, as the mother of a 14 year old I know how important it is to look after/support/parent your child. I do enjoy your "thoughts"!

  • I agree

  • i think you bring up a great topic and i posted a video response, hope it goes through. Thanks 4 bringing up the issue! Love ur videos!

  • yes... if things aren't going as well as you would like with your children... i recommend getting all the support and information it takes to make a difference for the good in the life of your child. hugs to all the parents that have children who pressure test the limits.

  • right on Peter

  • WHAT THE FUCK?

  • Microbrain/donutholes has lost his mind competely by now, and that is why he fails to notice that.

    But don't bother.

Thanks to you, YT is developping a secure system to throw out assholes like you permanently:)

So you have reached at least something in your life :D

  • Oh my goodness!!! I just found out about this channel a week ago and think your GREAT!

  • 5x5 thoughts Peter!

  • i have no problem with the sound. he come's over clear and loud, if i need it. if i turn it up too much he blow's out my ear drum's. LOL.

  • Spot on.

  • Being a parent myself and having made enough mistakes to wheigh in with a comment. It's easy to either try to be a controling parent or a hands off parent, two extremes, but finding the right balance, is tough, but will raise a thinking child, which, God willing, should result in a well balanced, fully functioning, productive adult. Also Male & female parents are the ideal situation for a kid to grow up in, but thats not always possible, so a good community always helps. (need volume up) Cheers

  • Excellent 5/5

  • Thank you for sharing your wisdom

Young people need to learn from people like you.

  • The problem is that it is not until we are grand dads that we fully understand how important genetic parents are in their children's upbringing.

Both parent and child are structured by the same genetic memory and should understand only too well sometimes. I know mine did even before I got up to mischief!!!!

  • I love your accent!!

  • Hmm, I can't hear anything..

  • Turn your speakers up! (Yes, Peter is quiet but we should listen ..)

  • Is it just me or are the videos more quiet now? Could just be my piece of junk laptop and headset LOL

  • LrdDarkFyre,

    it is his videos!

  • The intro parts are really loud, but the vlog itself is very quiet, I think.

  • if it's too quiet, turn the sound up

  • no it is quiet now

  • Thank god my parents parent me well.

  • Wise words on parenting. It's true that children grow up to be the product of their upbringing. There are other factors too, of course, but a good foundation at home is so important. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and comments, Peter, you're a fine man.

  • No complaints with my heathens! lol

  • Awesome! 5 stars! o(^ - ^)o *♥*♥*♥*♥*

  • Very good point. I come from a big family. My friends are Chinese. In a Chinese household. The parents work, and the grandparents live with there children. The grandparents then raise the children. Its actually an awesome thing. I always felt the entire family should be involved in the process not just the parents. If the parents work , or there income is just not enough. The parents, uncles, aunts etc help out in anyway they can.

  • It is the most important job of all and I would like to see parenting /relationship classes as part of curiculum .Also basic home /car maintenance would be very good too and save youngsters money.I dont know why it has not become part of the education system.Cot deaths could be possibly avoided too if a young parent knew basic resusitation. Some youngsters are so severely at a disavantage when bought up in a disfunctional home without the basic knowledge let alone encouragement in sport / arts.

  • it makes a change with youngsters these days

  • Agree wholeheartedly Peter, parenting is a big responsibility, some succeed, and some don't no matter how hard they try ? I don't understand why so many people find your video's quiet, I hear you perfectly !!

  • thanks for a great video, peter

  • thanks for a great video, peter

  • I agree totally

Being a parent is the most important job of all

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • Just as a side comment, I think you need to record at a higher volume. Otherwise, reminds me of your earlier videos ^^

  • i was kidding... :D

    just wanted some reactions...no biggy...

    i love peter!

  • too late now, Ciao

with this sick kind of humor towards old people, you deserve to be suspended.

  • sick humor? thats subjective.

Apparently this crowd isnt my kind of crowd...

    i say good day...:D

  • Ciao, with the endless, pointless hate and harassment of donutholes/microtext (suspended many times already) against Peter and friends, which you seem to enjoy and to copy, we can fully do without your mental junk.

    That's objective.

When you can ad a worthy comment to a video like this, be my guesst.

Making a hobby of being extremely rude is just sick.

When you visit this "crowd", behave and think things over. Do with you "own" crowd whatever you think is appropriate.

  • first off i dont know who "donutholes/microtext" is.

    Secondly,

You and everyone else on this channel who thinks that this is mental junk is still subjective. Even though you may all agree upon a particular belief...it is still subjective.

It is only objective if you can prove its sick...in which case you cannot.

  • Why the hell are you hating this man? It's so horrible and wrong to write nasty things to Peter. He is a man of many great thoughts and deserves respect. Shame one you people who use your days writing nasty messages to people.

  • You are what your parents make you.

  • You are reported and will be suspended

  • Your microphone picks up the sound of the ventilator (that irritating high pitch revolving noise) and surpresses your own voice, Peter.

  • agreed.. and I think children who feel loved want to please their parents. Children who feel ignored (or adults, I could add) cry for attention in any way they can get it.

  • I dont think it is always

    the parents fault.

    The goverment are alot to

    blame for not giving youths

any free out of school programmes

to keep them off the streets and

    causing trouble.

  • Are you kidding me? Governments for thousands of years were no required to give "out of school programmes" and plenty of children were brought up right. It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a parent to love them enough to discipline them.

  • What i meen is what is there for kids to do these days ? ? ? If the goverment stopped wasting money by sending our boys to there deaths in illegal wars and actually put that money into keeping kids off the streets by investing in youth schemes that actually kept them fit and healthy whilst entertained. parents can only teach there kids manors and respect but peer pressure, bordom and lack of fitness could be helped/avoided with out of school programmes. + Only my opinion +
  • regarding parents, as a psychologist, that's extremely not true. the impact parents have on their children is so profound that it can be used to predict, explain, and control the overall outcome of a given persons life.

  • I think you misunderstood him - he said that children who do not behave properly may suffer from poor or nonexistent parenting. He's so right - so many people treat their children as accessories to dress up, but don't parent them. Sad.

  • Gibbo, why should the goverment support free out of school programmes, its down to the parents to parent. They are the ones that should find time for their kids. The only thing the goverment can be blamed for is the nanny state they have created. As for using free goverment programmes to keep them out of trouble, how about giving back the parents the right to discipline their kids.

  • I do love your videos, they're always so interesting, but can I give you a bit of advice? You need to sort out the volume when you're recording, I can never hear you properly unless I turn my volume up to almost full blast.

  • Very good point Peter!

  • Fair enough, but just remember that a number of children in the same position (gold medal winners at 13) have parents that instill them with a ferocious competitive drive. A normal childhood may be sacrificed by the parents driving into their children "WIN! WIN! WIN! KILL! KILL! KILL!" Congratulations to this kid, especially if he is being brought up in a normal household--let's hope so.

  • old wise one... why have you never mentioned your adventures with RACCOON WILLIE?

  • agree 100%

  • Peter, your volume is a little too quiet and my old ears are struggling to hear what you say even with the laptop flat out.

Do you think you could return to using your headset microphone?

  • Absolutely. I love your vids Peter but the sound is a little quiet when you don't use the headset.

  • i agree, is there some way to fix this?

  • what a very helpful comment...not

    some good points peter.

  • @ CIAOfilms your talking a load of crap!!! We can learn a hell of a lot from our older generation. If you don't like what Peter has to say the don't post stupid immature comments. Now grow and be a good little boy!

    Nnek@ ;o)

  • @ CIAOfilms, do you feel better now getting that out of your system? I don't know how old you are but you have got a hell of a lot to learn. First step is to respect your Elders and others! Second step is if you haven't got anything nice to say about somebody, then don't say ANYTHING! Nnek@ ;o)

    P.S. Have fun GROWING-UP! *LOL*

  • CIAdouchebag. If you don't like Peters videos then piss off. Go and play around with your 84 subscribers. I wonder how your parents would feel about your disrespect and rudeness. Oh wait a minute, they would not care would they as you were dragged up, and not brought up.

  • i have purpose...you cant understand my purpose with your pea sized brain...I FUCKIN HATE YOU!!!

  • your a fucking douchebag

everyone hates you too, just do the world a favor and kill yourself, you no gift to society so be gone with you.

  • I totally agree Peter.

  • I agree Peter:-)

  • Our local papers often have stories about parents who had no idea that their son had gang connections, and kept handguns in his closet. In the "Jane & Finch" area of Toronto, the good parents are the ones who know where their kids keep their handguns.

  • I sure wish I could hear what you're saying.

  • Very well said my friend. Have a lovely

    day!!!

  • Nice video. I enjoyed it.

  • kids are the way ahead, so we must look after them and teach them moral values and the right things to do, else youd just end up with the kids and the gangs on the streets now, sometimes we think we are doing the right thing by them, but there are times we must take a step back.

  • Again a very good one, Peter!

You're so right! Continue the good work!

But I miss your "Hello Youtubers" at the beginning! :)

PS: Yes, volume level is a bit too low...

  • So true! Gr8 Point :)

  • nice, short and accurate. five stars!

  • YEP! IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT JOB, WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TRAINING, AND THERE ARE SIMPLY AND SADLY, NO 'DO OVERS.'

Be Well My Friend and squeeze Miss Winnie for me.

    FSTOPDR

  • P.S.

If you can tolerate looking more like Madonna (not the original one) I think we can hear better if you wear the headset with the mic boom. My speakers are on the front of my monitor and after hearing each of your videos, I have to clean my (huge) noseprint off the glass!

  • Being a parent is one of the noblest tasks anyone can take on. It's ashame that not everyone thinks that way.

Thanks for the video Peter. (The volume level is very low).

  • good video i think you have make many great points

  • i really enjoy your videos. :)

  • i watch that on tv that cool

  • I wish I had a granpa like you.

  • Great video Pete
