  • jax likes this one

  • haunting

  • Spiritual - a beautiful song that works on so many different levels from a vastly underrated songwriter. God bless, George.

  • Lovely song!

  • Cosmic!

  • It's a very unusual song... reminds me of how

I feel when I wake slightly from a dream, but fall back to sleep and into that same dream. good feeling . Thanks so much, i love the pictures you find!

  • this song is so underrated...i love this song so much..!!!

  • Great song , great man , great video and so many souvenirs !!!!!

  • jh`pmkobnjhlkijkkllu,u,kijnjuikj9ik

  • I vowed to myself I'd only ever love George Harrison, and when I met the one guy who truly looked like him, I broke my vow and got my heart broken. Sorry George</3 );

  • Seriously underrated song imo, one of the best Beatles songs.

This is the type of song you have to listen to with no other distractions, in darkness, with your eyes shut.

I challenge someone to do that while listening to this song and then honestly say afterwards that they don't think this song is amazing.

  • I love you George! I've never met you or even known of you during your lifetime but I regret that. You're one of my favorite people ever. i was crying the other day thinking about how you're no longer with us, and i remembered Ringo's song.

    Never Without You

I love you George Harrison ♥

  • Yes Beautiful..

  • This is one of my favorite Beatles songs. It's a real shame george went so religious after the Beatles and expressed that in his music. I'm not trying to offend the believers among us, but i'm just not a big fan of that.

I always try to think this was sung for someone who george loved very much (while it is actually sung to god)

  • @terwantom Here's a must read section about The Beatles

    truthcontestcom/entries/the-present-universal-truth/beatles

Just put 3 w's and a dot in the beginning, dot before the com and .html in the last.

  • i love the beatles so much.

  • Great song, unfortunately one of the most underrated Beatles song!

  • i love how this song can mean a person, or god

  • How haunting and lovely. I've always loved this song.

  • Happy Birthday, George Harrison!

  • It sounds like Yoko Ono was present on this track if you listen from 2:47 - 2:55 - very creepy screaming! But it's one of George's best ever songs. :)

  • @laissezfayre Nope, despite the creepy wailing, Yoko was not present. Not even John played on this track. It is a beautiful, haunting song. I agree that it's one of his best.

  • 1:39 to 1:43 is perhaps the most beautiful 4 seconds the beatles have recorded. kills me every time.

  • the 2 people that disliked this YOUR ASSHOLES pure and simple

  • @JoKeR2280 don't be negative in the presence of this beautiful song, it's unseemly

  • This song is so beautiful . Definitely and underrated George song . I really like this video with it to ! He was a good man , and he and John will be so dearly missed . R.I.P. George && John , Buddies && Pals . <3 (':

  • @feenyfighter I too have read this isn't a love song in the traditional sense. Read Harrison's biography, _Here Comes the Sun_. In there it states that this & many of Harrison's love songs written in 2nd person ("you" "your") esp. around this time are actually devotional songs that refer to George's spiritual quest to find God/Krishna in meditation.

Still, it works as a fu**ing STEAMY love song in MY book any day!

  • This is my absolute favourite Beatles song. The memories and feelings it provokes are just indescribable. George was a fantastic musician.

  • my favorite beatle

  • A beautiful song. Keyboard and vocals are haunting, the addition of the sitar was a master stroke. Hard to believe I only came across this track after hearing the stand-out Danger Mouse mash up.

  • R.I.P George.

  • maybe my favorite beatles' song. press the head phones against your ears, there's so much there. I heard it's not a love song but it is to me!

  • George Harrison is my favorite Beatle. I love that he was quite, but showed his sense of humor everyonce in a while. He is also super talented and super HOT! GO GEORGE!

  • when them drums come

  • it's scarily good, drums genius, understated throughout, i want this song to live in my head.

  • I have a custom mix of Long, Long, Long. In case anyone wants to prove me wrong, I guarantee that it's even more haunting...and underrated. You can find it on my channel!

  • try and look at every vid George talking about trying to find/See God

    Shotgun

  • ‹(•¿•)›¨¯¯¨¨˜"ª¤++++++++++++++++++++¤ª"˜¨¨¯¯¨‹(•¿•)›

  • theres someone at my school who looks exactly like George Harrison and i see him all the time and i freak out every time! :P

  • This is one of my favorite beatles songs. I listen to it at least 5 times a day and it never gets old

  • Never ever will forget seeing him in concert....truly amazing. My office is a tribute to the Beatles essentially. Ground breaking music. Love this song!

  • this song always reminds me of george and pattie together. they were a perfect couple and they definatly loved eachother very much. i bet pattie regrets leaving george. i bet she misses him, but then again, we all do. R.I.P

  • his last words "were love one another" R.I.P. We miss you.

  • wonderful song, so beutiful and fragile. But to be honest, everytime i listen to it the "outro" destroyes everything. This song is so moody and makes you float away when you listen to it and then this avantgarde noise. But the times where different back there and musicans made experimantal sound. And by the way everything the beates did, where good and right!

  • Ähm i mean beatles of course (getting red)

  • George always makes me cry ,

    Shotgun

  • A beautiful song. How can anyone give this a thumbs down ? You must be a very unhappy person.

  • So warm, so beautyful, so close to god... nobody can put words and music so well together, like George could. No musician can move me, like he does, still. Why does he mean so much to me, although I have never met him ?

  • this song make me remember of old times like 1800 and i don't know why every time i listen to this i fall sleep

  • George HAIRrison.....hair was practicly in his name,,,thts y he has great hair

  • long time love you

  • From the lyrics...to Ringo's stellar drumming....to the message ... to the wine bottle rattling on the speaker at the end of the song, this one is pure George/Beatle genius.

  • What about doing a video of Somedays, or Waterfalls - this one's good though, thanks.

  • A great song that flew under the radar on the White Album! George - your music will live on.... RIP

  • Always my fave Beatle! See you on the other side, my friend.

  • No john on this recording - fuck'em.

  • excelent.excelent.

    alguém discute isso?

  • THIS IS GEORGE!?

I always thought it was John.. I feel ashamed. This song is absolutely brilliant!

  • @tschubidi im to always think this song it was lennon , omg i love george and the beatles

  • He has such an amazing and soothing voice

  • "The 'you' in Long, Long, Long is God. I can't recall much about it except the chords, which I think were coming from Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands - D to E minor, A, and D - those three chords and the way they moved."

    George Harrison

  • I absolutely love this song and I have since the first time I heard it so many years ago. Haunting and ethereal.

  • beautiful song!! One of my favorites

  • love how feelings of the gentle voice are emphasized by the power of the instruments, expecially drums. what wonderful collaboration

  • Out of all the Beatles, this one was my favorite.

  • Why am I so emotionally attached to a man whom I've never even met?

Georgie Boy it's been 8 years since you left this mortal coil; never without you, within you without you.

  • @geofree1984

Geofree - My God, my God, I feel the same way. I thought I was the only one. I remember the day he died as one of the saddest days of my life. It was soon after the horrible sadness of 9/11, and I recall I wept, I sobbed, I cried like a father losing a son, or better, a brother losing a brother. I cried so long and so hard, and people asked, " Why ? You didn't even KNOW the guy." And I replied, " Yes, I did. He was my brother. " To this day, I weep, from my heart and soul.

  • @geofree1984 I feel you 100%

  • @geofree1984 I agree 100,000,000 per milia, I can't the thought of him being gone forever as a mortal.

  • 8 years Georgie Boy... Never without you, within you without you.

  • @geofree1984 oh sorry i tried to put a thumbs up, not a thumbs down sorry

  • George, you're awesome!

  • Nice video treatment of one of his best songs. Thank you!

  • Actually, this song was composed to express his life longing mission to find God(Krishna).

  • Love song? Hymn? One of the least played and most beautiful GH songs...hehe, the rumbling at the end was supposedly a bottle of Blue Nun wine sitting on a speaker. Always innovating...

  • fascinating about the bottle.

  • The end, beautifully haunting.

  • This song´s atmosphere and dynamics are awesome. George´s compositions are unique.

  • i wish this song was just a little bit louder so i could hear him sing better :(

  • Listen to the White album from start to finish. This song takes you to another plane. So brilliant.

  • This song is a real George Harrison´s lovesong for Patti Boyd, I think.

    Whatever a very ethereal feeling.

  • Ringo's drumming...powerful...wow!

  • Mr. Harrison, always the finest.

  • what a beauty - timeless...

  • Thank you for posting this beautiful song and video.

    RIP George.

  • I'm in love with George Harrison, I'm soo jealous of Patti Boyd! I wish I was around back then. <3 He has to be the most amazing man to ever live.

  • George has always been my favorite Beatle and person this was a beautiful tribute qith beautiful pictures of him and yes that song used to send chills always loved the lyrics as well as George

  • how can I ever misplace you....

  • favourite george song

  • amazing song.

  • I`m a huge George Harrison fan and this was beautifully done and I can tell that you had a passion for him as well from the care that was taken to put this together. I especially loved the photo at 1:44, had never seen that one before and would love to get a copy of it....

  • lately I've been super hung up on this song and I Want To Tell You...George's songs and his voice have a way of giving me chills and just getting to me...Love U George

  • This song will live as an absolute favorite of mine the rest of my life. Yes I know the chills. In my mind though its about love for another person. Not relegious. But George ment it to be.

  • I also wish that I had known him. This is a beautiful and under-loved gem by the Beatles. Come to think of it, George was an underloved gem.

  • que bello arte

  • REST IN PEACE, George Harrison, MY LOVE!!! He was such a talented man, like the rest of the four beatles, but since we are on the topic of george, i must admit that he was a wonderful man who believed in peace and meditation...

HAPPY 65TH BIRTHDAY TO HIM ON THE 25TH THIS MONTH.... I hope everyone celebrates!♥♥♥

  • I put this in the top five Beatles songs ever recorded. Certainly George's best. A musical masterpiece.

  • Long, Long, Long live George!!!

  • George gets my heart beating a little bit faster...

  • @herecomesthesunx33 yes its george ,this song is so beautiful ,beautiful, i love it :)

  • The 'you' in Long, Long, Long is God.

    George Harrison

I Me Mine, 1980 "There's a sound near the end of the song which is a bottle of Blue Nun wine rattling away on top of a Leslie speaker cabinet. It just happened. Paul hit a certain note and the bottle started vibrating. We thought it was so good that we set the mikes up and did it again. The Beatles always took advantage of accidents."

The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions, Mark Lewisohn

  • That's very interesting. I don't recall hearing that tidbit before. The ending used to seem very eerie to me when I first started hearing the album.

  • siempre ame esta cancion y George fue mi segundo beatle favorito.

    Descansa en paz.

  • song is so damn beautiful. I love it when the drums come in.

  • This song is dedicated to God.

George is a great soul, like a sun's ray in this age full of darkness...

    Thank you for your example.

    "My Sweet Lord..."

  • @soulforlov He ws realy mistic ! I don't know ift John excepted to publish this song on the album

  • Beutiful video of a beutiful person. Rest in peace George <3

  • God he was always such a gentle soul never meant any harm to anyone i miss him rip 1943-2001

  • George Harrison, the third genius.

  • @WiltatKansas

    correction-George Harrison, THE genius.

  • @WiltatKansas the first genius, and then Paul and John tie for second. And nobody cares about Ringo.

  • questa canzone è stupenda.

    Grazie George.

    Rip.

  • This song always makes you think about someone you miss like when i went to a one week trip to camp the only person i was thinking about was my wife and i heard this song and i think i almost cry by the way this song is awesome this is by far one of my favorite beatle songs and george was always one of my favorites great great song

  • You're right. George Harrison used his time traveling powers in order to steal this song from Elliot Smith. With his amazing ability to manipulate the space-time continuum, he could have easily taken over the world. But Harrison just wasn't the evil overlord type.

  • George = Rock and Roll Nostradamus

  • No he was very peaceful i think every beatle was peaceful and helpful people

  • Yeah, I was joking. But I just realized that he looks like a less retarded Tom Cruise in the picture at 0:22. WTF? That's weird.

  • haha. elliot smith just covers songs right, i heard he has passed too.

    rest in peace george harrison

  • yes

  • Was Elliot Smith even alive in 1968? I think it's pretty obvious Elliot Smith was the one who did the borrowing from the Beatles as just about every band did.

  • "How can I ever have lost you? So many years I was searhing. So many tears I was wasting." He must have been writing this about his longing for union with the transcedant consciousness. How can that happen if you do not have as much passion for that as you do at the beginning of any earthly love affair.

  • rest in love George Harrison

  • Am I the only one who knows that George Harrison was blessed with the most beautiful and perfect hair to ever cover a human head? I covet it.

  • Harrison's hair was always welcome on my pillow!

  • *Backs Away Slowly*

(I Love GEORGE But Not That Much)

  • @limenlimpidgreen :) I started reading, thinking you were going to talk about his soul or something deep.....but, yes, he had beautiful hair too!

  • @ommauma7 lol sorry if I disappointed...wow, I can't believe how many people liked my comment! :o)

  • @limenlimpidgreen :) It's all good!

  • @limenlimpidgreen ahahah im pretty sure ur not the only one!! :D plenty people looove george and his gorgious hair!! :) i no i do!!

  • *whimpers* George Rest In Peace

  • GEORGE! R.I.P.

  • This song is amazing!

It stirs beautiful memories for me.

  • i love everything about him

    i love him

    he was a good person

your freaking awesome for doing this

ughhh i wish i knew him

    he's my hero

  • This song takes me there, over and over again. Very well done slide show. George would be so proud.

  • ...His love for Lord Krishna...

    ...The All Attractive...

    ...Hare Krishna...

  • Hi boy!Nà domanda:alle registrazioni di stà canzone '68 c'era John o no???

  • 1:12, I am in love with his trousers.

  • Long Long Long

  • John was a tool in some ways. A tool of Yoko, sorry, and a horrible father to Julian. Yes, he had some good things, but some serous flaws, imo.

  • you're wrong. Actually he was perfect. Just like everybody else

  • He was far from perfect, to whom much is given, much is expected, speaking of John Lemmon, again, a great musician.

  • lol

  • god who doesnt love this guy!!!!!!!!!he will be missed=[

    p.s.make love not war=]

  • George was the coolest Beatle. I used to think it was John, but no more. John used to back every silly cause on earth; George had more sense than to do that.

  • Ahhhhhhh @ :45 :-p~~~

  • He is still with us, reminding us of a land free from anxiety.

He wrote this song about Lord Krishna,it's all about missing Him, now it is about missing George, this is now poignant but sublime nevertheless.

    Hare Krsna!

  • what an aching song, just a sad trip.Miss you George, big time.

  • Such a gorgeous tune....I miss you George!

  • Listen to this song late at night in the dark when it is still--one of Harrisons Greatest

  • I remember seeing George on the TV right before he died. I will always look up to this man as one of the greatest men who has ever lived.
