I'm 16, and it makes me mad that not many kids my age like music like this, Thin Lizzy is way better than all these lame techno groups that are coming out >:l Wish I was part of a cooler generation.
I believe i grew up listenin to Thin Lizzy, Cat Stevens, Southside Johnny, Van Morrison, Def Leppard, and many christian rock groups when i was little. Man, Thin Lizzy is the shit, in my opinion, bcuz they fuckin rock!
@RocknKylie0428 I've got NOTHING against Gary Moore, but I'm getting a bit tired of everyone thinking that Gary was the "sound" of thin lizzy. He was barely even in Thin Lizzy. The double guitar sound of this song, and MOST TL songs was the combo of Scott Gorham and Robertson. Period. So it gets a bit old, when people hear this song (and other bad ass ones like it) and say: Damn, Gary was awesome. He WAS awesome, but HE's NOT ON THIS SONG OR ALBUM.
@nicksterminator6 i thought it was zz top too when i first heard the song on "dogtown & z-boys". realizing that it's thin lizzy. all i can say was "fuck me". this is a real badass song. why can't rock music be this dangerous and cool? fucking nickelturd and all of those pussy bands playing on the radio. they suck!
@Rockchild1992 Glam Rock predates KISS slightly, and started in the UK in the early 70's. KISS took it in a new direction, though. Made their own thing of it.
It was much more T. Rex and Bowie who kicked it off.
Brian Downey is one of the greatest drummers of all time, a pity hardly anyone has every heard of him. His drumming on "Chinatown" is also incredible.
I would agree that Downey was probably a better technical drummer but Keith Moon had a style that was truly unique.and the Who could never find a drummer to fill his shoes.
to be honest its two bad tha music aint what it used2 be i mean this stuff was bad ass now we got sissy bitch's claimin there gangsters and no true rockers
