@calico992 Well, you got to remember that this episode was made back in the late 1970's, right after the Towers were built. Besides, the Towers were set right at the end of the episode.
when Luthor gets ahold of something he repeats himself. "Not if I use the power of the monolyth." (or some artiact he gets his hands on) 9:13 what batman says.
I like how Superman is in the center of the earth, has a ball of cryptonite around his ankle, and is being held by a monster, but yet is at the Hall of Justice looking at the trouble alert at 1:53! Ha ha!!
@IJustWatchEm71 Yeah, there are a ton of hillarious and obvious mistakes through out the series. Is as if 3 or 4 people wrote each episode, but never met each other!
@slacker393 Like it said in the episode, it only acts in response by who is controlling it. At the time, the Legion of Doom was controlling the Monolith. But when Wonder Woman started to control it, it had no bad intent on Superman.
Why did they start turning to stone? This show explains literally everything that happens on screen except for that. Why?
I love how happy Grodd was at his "Legion of DOOMSDAY!" joke. I also love how he was the only one who laughed and so he had to laugh so much harder to cover up how lame the joke was.
I am for the one with a Giant Cobra. Remember the one where Wonder Woman, and Apache Chief were to get alot of venom to India, and the only way was to get to a temple, and the giant cobra since the villagers were bitten by posionous snakes, after an earthquake? I only saw the beginning, and I'd like to find the rest of that episode Does any one remember the name of it?
@antzzy1 Ever since I first saw this episode on syndication back in the late 80s, I wonder why Green Lantern couldn't simply use his power ring to simply eliminate the ball of Kryptonite instead of bothering to create that nuclear laser.
@antzzy1 I don't think Hawkman or Black Vulcan would have that power. Ever since I first saw this episode on syndication back in the late 80s, I've always wondered why Green Lantern couldn't just use his power ring to simply eliminate the ball of Kryptonite instead of bothering to create that nuclear laser.
@antzzy1 Well, it was securely locked to his leg like an ordinary ball and chain. And I don't think Hawkman or Black Vulcan would have the power to just remove it anyways. Ever since I first saw this episode on syndication back in the late 80s, I've always wondered why Green Lantern couldn't just use his power ring to simply eliminate the ball of Kryptonite instead of bothering to create that nuclear laser.

Yes, it would take ~8 minutes to see the light change.

@leanaway It's invisible to the naked eye, but not invisible to sonar and radar.

superman says the only way you can break kryptonite is by nuclear laser

@tokingood32 It makes sense, because it was a nuclear explosion that broke the Phantom Zone transport in Superman 2.

Supervillain fact #1: F#$ing with the twin towers is still blasphemy, even if it takes place well before 9/11.
Superhero fact #1: Superman can change his emblem even near death, as seen at 3:20, and his cape at 5:06 because he is just that awesome.
Superhero fact #2: High speed molecular action will not remove a kryptonite restraint.
Superhero fact #3: A power source isn't evil, even if it repels you and not a villain.

Hawkman's power of POKING AT LAVA WITH A ROCK!
Lava monsters, water monsters- not too creative, this evil power source.
Good thing Batman has his FREEZE RAY.
Turning into rock? High speed molecular action? How high were the writers?
Wow, the computer can even predict the morality of an object!
