Second, his analysis of causes of the recession is too stupid by at least five levels. It's not the folks that took out subprimes, it's not even the bankers that tranched them, it's the institutional investors who asked banks for high-risk futures backed by no tangible assets. Santelli is a very stupid person, and it's racist to pick on subprimers.

I agree with you except for the part about ignoring the politics and just try to make as much money as you can because the people who are scooping up the low mortgages are the top 15 percentile of income brackets.
