yea i heard some fireworks on T.v was cg.BUT the dude running around on the top of the stadium the 2008 drummer playing in total unison,the hundred or so people raising those blocks up in down so much so it looked like it was on a computer timer.if that comes out as fake then i will be upset but honestly when i think of the openning cermony i dont even think of the fireworks.I dont know if you saw the whole thing but it was a site to behold

He deserves more study - he controlled the largest empire in history, if only for a short time and with the loosest definition of 'control' - from Poland to the furthest tip of China, at its height. There are some fantastic books and videos on the subject, definitely worth looking up.

Some scientists have estimated that as many as 1 in every 200 people could be a direct descendant of Genghis Khan (he was known for having his way with the women in almost every land he conquered). Is it really that high? I doubt it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I am really sad that every one are focusing on if its fake or not. I heard that the footprint was fake, but i am sure this video is not fake, because when ever there was a big ceremonary, there was a fireworks like this, I have seem this for several times. for this olympice, what they need to do is just double the fireworks, by the way, i am a chinese. i am pround of this.

I never disputed the fact there were fireworks...I only dispute the common belief that everything else was 100% genuine. They were caught no less than 3 times - based soley on my memory from the fake firworks, singing, and the fetus working the uneven bars.

You obviously don't know Canadians well at all. We DO NOT CARE about the Olympics!! We are hosting the winter olympics in 2010 in my city of Vancouver - Ho-hum!! 18 medals...good. But that's no excuse to blow more money than we already have on sports...we've got more importing things to spend our money on than challenging some dude to lift heavier metal bars over their head - I mean, come on!...who cares if u can lift a few kg's more?? trip to another country. I truly believe that. Nobody even talked about the olympics here during the first few days except to laugh about having earned no medals...that conversation moved on to something more interesting. Truly, nobody cares. Our pride isn't on the line like some nations.

they prepared all the camera angles in advance. they use cgi to enhance them. there were real fireworks but there were a significant amount of cgi fireworks added in. just because this is a live event doesnt mean it is impossible. their pretty arent they?

yea i heard some fireworks on T.v was cg.BUT the dude running around on the top of the stadium the 2008 drummer playing in total unison,the hundred or so people raising those blocks up in down so much so it looked like it was on a computer timer.if that comes out as fake then i will be upset but honestly when i think of the openning cermony i dont even think of the fireworks.I dont know if you saw the whole thing but it was a site to behold
