I saw it Las Vegas about two years ago it is awesome and unfortunately there is ONLY one print the negative got destroyed accidently while developing it. The photo goes for $75,000. I loved this song in Beyond the Law it was an awesome movie for this awesome song God Bless Robbie Robertson Keep making this awesome

  • I am of the blood of the Irish,Scottish,?english, americanborn, and See physical resemblances in Family now and generations ago...There's hidden knowledge of where all our blood flows...from and to...Seven Generation Up on this Memory and of this Modern DAY of TRAGIC...9/20/2010.....sharing....for the BETTER hopes and not the bitter.

  • who else...

  • i'm 18 and at my age, being proud of ones heritage is looked down upon by peers. my dad is full mexican and my mother is full native american. i absolutely adore this song (although i hate rod stewarts cover...) i am happy to say that i am super proud of being native american and have no problem showing it (that goes for my mexican heritage as well) robbie robertson is absolutely amazing

  • @synsangel1 I'm 43 and my son is half Italian and half Mexican and I love my in-laws. Be pround of your heritage but judge the people you meet by by who they are and not what they are. Because bad people come in all shapes and sizes as well as genders. You seem to have your act together. Also, you are 100% right Robbie Robertson is amazing and so is this song which I know is almost 20 years old. I first heard it in 93 in the movie Beyond the Law.

  • americans are still fucking crooks, look at the big corporations and all the church leaders, nothing but pathetic beggars and cheats

  • @miracledrug5150 Hey Dick.... Not all Americans are crooks. I take it in your country you have no crooks or politicians....

  • Very soothing song

  • Love You My Beautiful people...

  • love this~peace

  • I gather from the most recent posts there's been a lot of ugly troll comments for this vid. Just a note for the author: The woman who posted a link on FB bringing me here is a full blood Lakota; very proud of her heritage and active in her community. Clearly she found it worthy of recommendation. So do I.

  • Good effort but what the fuck? Did this guy rate himself?

  • You was goin' to give me a bottle of rain & a starfish. I miss you, RIP....

  • Movin across the water....

  • Nice :)

  • Beautiful !!!!! :)

Native culture is something we should never forget.

  • Good song........Beyond the law sold this song.......period

  • true that

  • Was in a great Charlie Sheen movie as well lol.

  • Incredibly inspiring images to compliment this beautiful song!

  • Actually all we can change is what we do right NOW. The eternal NOW.

  • THANKS ROBBIE !!!!!!!!!

  • oh yeah too bad this beautiful song is about an equally beautiful people. thats a CRYING shame huh!!! well atleast no one else will see your ignorant comment lest they really want to. but i fear your ignorance is contagious cuz my dumb --- just replied to it and i feel my iq dropping. residual ignoranium good stuff

  • Whew! I was worried that you were another ignorant fool from the US. Have you ever heard of something called Muzak? It's a wonderful invention for music listeners who don't like music, or having to think.

  • what other culture should it be about?

  • lets just besilent and think if only for 10 seconds so love and respect for all kind have a blessesd day

  • I will keep clear of the native american issues. I'd just like to say that this is a great song.... as sung by RR. The version as sung by Rod Stewart SUCKS ASS!!!! How much ass, you ask?.... more ass than Richard Gere in the gerbil section of the pet store.

  • I am a grandmother that wants the best for her grand children Destiny is every thing

  • Sorry to interrupt the discussion but......Great Song !!!

  • There were great acts of cruelty between white man and native man. It was a horrible time and many things were thrown out of proportion on both sides. I understand both sides of the issue. I married a native man and we have a child together. Rather than arguing what should or should not be done, perhaps it is better to offer the chance for each side to learn more of the other and for both to better themselves. Give more food and aid to natives and more about the culture to other nations,

  • Sometimes it's not about what happened. Sometimes it's about what happens next.

  • It is true, we cannot undo the past, nor forget it's lessons. Rather, we can only decide what steps we will take in our futures. That choice, is entirely dependent on the individuals who either want change or wish things to remain the same.

  • it's sad but come on get up and fight to do better for yourselves and your family

  • yes it is very sad that the white took the tland from the indians. When I was 18 and fresh outta high school I took a road trip out west and just going onto these reservations it's so sad there are trailers everywhere and seems like it is a never ending cycal not many of them probally leave the reservation and make something outta themselves instead there working some craft shop or at the local gas station

  • Im Irish but I love this video and find it very moving. Its so sad to believe this great race that once had the freedom of Americas plains has been brought to its knees- An interesting footnote which many Native Americans might not know is dat in the 19th century when Ireland lay amidst a great famine and our people were dying in their miliions the native americans sent shiploads of food and clothes. For all who write racist comments you should be ashamed. America has wronged a great people.

  • Thanks for this comment:) I didn't know about the Native Americans sending the shiploads of food and clothes to Ireland. I appriciate you passing this information along in my comments since lately some people have been quite rude in there comments about Native Americans. GOD BLESS!

  • @Whackermacker I did not know this either about Ireland and what the Native Americans did...where can I learn more about this ...Its a wonderful part of history ...that I was never taught about in school!

  • Respond to this video...This is a beautiful video!

The song and music is so touching

  • namaste*CREATIVERAIN

  • EVILKANIBAL71 I guess you are just trying to be evil & rude. I happen to be very white, with some cherokee and black foot in my bloodline. What happen to the Indians is very sad. And I am embarrased as an American that this is how are country began. I really can't believe that you would make such rude and racist comments under such a peaceful video.

  • AH, ME SO SORRY

  • No need to be embarrassed, you had nothing to do with it. My daughter is half Native: 1/4 Hopi, 1/4 Navajo (quite a mix for those who know the history between the tribes) and never do I want people to feel sorry for her. Rather I've always longed for her to be accepted the same as anyone else and she is in today's world for the most part. That, rather than feeling or asking for guilt or shame, historically speaking or otherwise are the ideals I contine to raise her with. Thanks for the video!

  • so who is 1/2 navajo 1/2 hopi u or ur wife?

  • Dynamic, inspirational,a great roll model for the young,Indian Country lives on through greatness of Indian people, and the never say die attitude of Indian people Osceola.

  • Great tune, great album. Far superior to that abortion of a cover Rod Stewart did. Like the Dead's version though.

  • being native american myself, I see that we cannot do enough I visit reservations and try to do what I can but it takes more than a few people, white man distroyed a whole race of people, just remember when we talk about this great country of ours that it was built with the blood of innocent men, women, and children.

  • You are sooooo right...Amen!

  • Being Native American too, I can say that the folklore of the Native American's in pop culture presents them as nature loving peaceful and wise people. Jake, perhaps you should truly learn Native Culture before you post a comment.

  • What are you talking about. I think its quite the opposite. Indians were always presented as savages, always fighting the cowboys.

  • Actually, like I said, if you learn Native Culture, you would know that the Natives actually had a form of democracy that was copied by Benjamin Franklin and Madison during the creation of the U.S. The 7 Nations of the Iriquois to be exact. Also, all people were considered, women and children... So I don't understand why you think that Indians were always presented as savages...

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, I probably said Iroquois didn't I. I was wrong... heh. Well good to clarify these things. Anyhow, hope you enjoy the song as much as I do. Take care, Mike

  • mmmmmm, nice..tsalagi girl...

  • Estonko Robby, your fantastic music and songs take me back to another time, my poetry was made for some one like you, with the heart and sole of the Indian, Osceola Birdman Waters.

  • Estonko, Robby, your all heart, your music, your songs take me to another time, my poetry was made for you Osceola.

  • this is dedicated to old old friend gary and to all my wolven breathren.

    Peace.

  • who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain???

  • He wrote it and damn can he sing it! Now if he can get Rachel Hunter to do the video like Rod Stewart did....lol beautiful pix here tho.

  • such a perfect melody...fabulous

  • Thx for the post rain. Love this song, it brings memories of a special fren who has travel'd on. I can still hear him sing'n, miss ya Mark!!....Bren

  • Never say in words what this made me feel. Thank you Creativerain. Things my son and I loved were here and in the end were there.

  • Excellent video for Robbie's music.. Thanks

  • RAIN: I am happy to find some Robbie-and your vid was nicely put. Thank-you once again.

  • The best ending to any movie... ever. Ever notice how Charlie Scheen and Patrick Swayzee roles are interchangable...

  • Call me ignorant, but I don't get the Scheen/Swayzee references..ready to be educated! Cheers!

  • Kurt Russel, Patrick Swayzee and Charlie Scheen. Chuck Norris, Steven Segal and Jean Claude Van Damme. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Syllvester Stallone. Any characters in a movie can be filled by either one of these actors and it will have no effect on the outcome whatsoever. It's science.

  • huh?

  • Okay. If you have a movie called Action Action starring Patrick Swayzee, and he says no, you can always star Kurt Russel instead and it would work, and vice a versa. Same goes with Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, and Jeane Claude Van Damme. Also slightly true with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Syllvester Stallone.

  • Although I believe in theory that only Stallone could be Rocky and Rambo as only Arnold could be Conan or Terminator. All other roles are interchangable however. Do you understand the science at all?

  • Good movie. One of Charley Sheens better flicks.

  • It is a song was in film " Beyond the law ".

  • very beautiful indeed...the music and pics raise my level of consciousness...man and nature are truly one in this video.

    Thank you very much,

    Jerry

  • Great video as well

  • I think one of the major reasons Robbie Robertson is such a great musician is because he can capture so much rich emotion and imagery. Truly an amazing artist.

  • Beautiful

  • nice
