Thankfully I only had to wear the halo once for 3 months because my C-5 turned into an aneurysmal cyst. And I had 2 metal plates and 8 screws installed to replace my C-5 in the front and back of my neck. Unfortunately mines kept scratching up against my skull when I had mines.
@aenize4444 You cant take shower the whole time your in the brace. You have to sponge bathe and you can not get apparatus wet. Its very difficult to change and all, alot of tube tops lol!
girl, you are so brave! i recently had spinal cord surgery and had hardware installed from c2-t2. and to think that i pitched a bitch for having to wear a neck brace for 2 months. you rock! i've had my neck brace of a few weeks now and am looking looking forward to PT/OT next week. i hope your healing goes well. god bless and take care.

Oh, and for that jackhole that posted the freekish comment, If he had to spend one week in that contraption for REAL, he would no longer "burn with envey".......What a douche kit!
Every time I see one of those I burn with envey. Next time I see someone with one I should ask if I can have the rig when you get threw with it. Then if I really was going to wear it for three months I would need a cover story. Then there was this dude on a motorcycle that told me he had the worst headache the first day then by the third dey he did not notice it anymore. Still that must really be an expireance. So how can I get one like that.
@gerlnl0ve Maybe it could be dificult to truly explain to someone that is not a brace freek but the sensaition of a brace or a cast is a real turn on. Then actually having something actually attached is another turn on. It is also a loss that such thaing are wasted on non brace freeks and we are not alowed to traid. There was a websight for neck brace freeks but it evaporated. Then for those who have the money there are a few places that will provide braces to us but that will have to wait.

hwo do you change your clothes and take showers when you have a halo? please answer i am genuinly curious!

I had to wear one of those when I was 7!!! They actually took a bone out of my hip and placed it in my neck.
