dude, Eragon didn't get jack right from the books, and the final large ass battle, was supposed to be underground, in the dwarven halls..... and when he found his power at first, wrong place, wrong town, wrong scenery was very..... disappointing

You can't copyright something like that. Orcs exist in many mythologies, and his relationship with the girl doesnt seem to be anything like aragorn and arwyn.
orcs are in pretty much every fantasy novel or movie ever made they just have different names (and in some cases they don't) Tolkein did not come up with the concept of evil creatures that haunt a fictional magical land. Neither did he invent elves, dwarves, dragons, trolls, etc...Pretty much every fantasy story has at least one human character that overcomes the boundaries and gets the "mythical/forbidden" love interest

dude, Eragon didn't get jack right from the books, and the final large ass battle, was supposed to be underground, in the dwarven halls..... and when he found his power at first, wrong place, wrong town, wrong scenery was very..... disappointing

the cinematic feel of the movie is a lot like LOTR though. like when they're on top of the mountain range and the camera is circling them? totally ripped from FOTR.

You can't copyright something like that. Orcs exist in many mythologies, and his relationship with the girl doesnt seem to be anything like aragorn and arwyn.

orcs are in pretty much every fantasy novel or movie ever made they just have different names (and in some cases they don't) Tolkein did not come up with the concept of evil creatures that haunt a fictional magical land. Neither did he invent elves, dwarves, dragons, trolls, etc...Pretty much every fantasy story has at least one human character that overcomes the boundaries and gets the "mythical/forbidden" love interest

The acting in this movie seems terrible. These stupid directors think that if EVERYONE has a rough voice and act cool and misterious the entire fucking movie it'll be great and epic (Ghost Rider is the first thing that comes to mind). Well, I've got enough of that shit already.

half of you guys dont even seem to realise that dungeon siege was one of the best rpg games ever made, and that this ISN'T a spinoff of anything made after 1997. thats around when i got the first dungeon siege game. it was a really great and immersive game, but it seems they may have coe up short on bringing the same glory to the movie.

WOW, "immersive"? "One of the best RPG games ever made"? I don't think so. There are much more immersive RPGs out there (The Elder Scrolls series anyone?). Also, DS is extremely linear, which makes it very boring and not worth playing again.
I once thought that DS was an awesome RPG (I even finished the single player mode). When I opened my eyes to other RPGs at the market I looked back and saw how shitty DS was. So get your shit right before saying something.

I normally pretty much like anything I see, but I really thought that most of Boll's films that Ive seen were bad but I'm interested in seeing this just because of the cast. I've got nothing against Boll and I neither like nor dislike him, it's just a case of I enjoy his films or I don't, end of, move on to the next movie. I stand conflicted but I hope this will be good, or even "ok", I guess time will tell...
