No, I do not think this orchestra is "bad." The viewer must consider the fact that many regional companies use recorded music for their annual production of "The Nutcracker."Is this student orchestra expected to sound like the Vienna Philharmonic? Please appreciate all the work that went into coordinating this live orchestra and the dance production. Very good idea. Many had performance opportunities.

1 thing though: He had to do all the work lifting her. No matter how light a girl might be it is still alot of effort to lift her espeally that one lift where he has got her by one leg then dropes her into the classic ballet hold. Wow im amazed that they even did it.

God I love ballet! Even though the music was off, the preformance was wonderful, her feet and form was so looovely and when she would twirl the way the bottom of her dress would move into the shape of a flower ugh *gush* so wonderful! Thanks for posting this!

Yes, the student orchestra was off a bit. As of 06 a new orchestra is used

I am not quit sure what you mean, but I am sure there are a lot of variables. Guess depending on who is doing the choreography. This is City Ballet of San Diego's version...

Weird....in IDT's nutcracker this is the snow king and queen dancing....cuz the nutcracker caries clara off right at the begining of this music
