i was told by the doctor that i had shingles a few days ago my head has been sore since then. i dont no much about it or how long it will last but ime not looking forward to all this pain people are talking about
I got shingles on bottom side of my eye cheek and the inside my ear when I was 15.
It was the most horrible pain I went through in my life... Completely horrible like torture... Its worse than TORTURE < THIS TRULY HURTSS!!!!My head Was hurting .. HURTING so much...
I felt a lot of pain for about 10 days and then the blisters showed up. They gave me Valtrex and it seems to be slowing it down and diminishing the pain. I'm only 36 and they told me this came from stress, more than likely.

My father had the vaccine in 2008 for Shingles and Saturday he just was diagnosed with Shingles. What gives?

Isnt valtrex for genital herpes lol. The doctor gave you the wrong medication for shingles. Acyclovir is used to treat shingles

I am wondering how many of you had the vaccine for chicken pox?
Have any of you been exposed to chicken pox prior to getting shingles or have you EVER been exposed to a child with chicken pox?

I'm 15 also, and i just got told by the doctor i have Shingles. I take Valtrex? i think and i was wondering when it will go away?
It hurts so much :[ I have it on my left side on my back and torso.
On top of that, I have homecoming in a week. Anything i can do to get rid of the blisters?
