I am going to wait for the dvd release, and not see the movie in the theater at all. WB can make me wait over 9 months to see a movie that was finished, and ready for release in October 08. I feel that I can make MYSELF wait another 5 months for the dvd. Cant you? If they dont make another movie, so what? The books are better anyway.

Um. No. I have read both, and still think HP is waaaayy better. I think that even though they are both fantasy, HP is a book everyone can relate to because of the magic and adolesence feelings. Plus, there is waay more action and character death, and I loves me some action and andventure! I'm not much of a romance person, so...that's my opinion
I think the whole reason behind this delay isn't because of the writer's strike (which was a while ago and many shows have started back fine like Family Guy) but because of the fact that Twilight was suppossed to be released around the same time too, so it would be a really hard mix between which movie would get the most money. I saw Twilight too, and I am not COMPLETELY satisfied with it

Um. No. I have read both, and still think HP is waaaayy better. I think that even though they are both fantasy, HP is a book everyone can relate to because of the magic and adolesence feelings. Plus, there is waay more action and character death, and I loves me some action and andventure! I'm not much of a romance person, so...that's my opinion

I think the whole reason behind this delay isn't because of the writer's strike (which was a while ago and many shows have started back fine like Family Guy) but because of the fact that Twilight was suppossed to be released around the same time too, so it would be a really hard mix between which movie would get the most money. I saw Twilight too, and I am not COMPLETELY satisfied with it
I have always been a Harry Potter fan. Even when I was reading Twighlight, before the hype, I was a HP fan!

I was really upset when they announced they were pushing HP back until next year in July. All they care about is the money, not what the fans want.
I do enjoy Twilight, but I think they might have gone a little drastic about pushing HP back so far because they did not want the two competing.
And honestly...I heard Twilight was a cheap version of Buffy.

But what they are doing is perfectly "right", it's their choice so it can't be "wrong"! I love HP but again, i'd rather wait a few months than a year.

Guys i dont know if any of you understand economy reasoning with the writers strike, a film crew and studio can not work on a movie that big without writers and for most shows if the writers arent on it the show doesnt go or its on hold for a long time, you have to deal with it, dont boycott or sign petitions to get a date closer, wont happen, and to be honest the wait makes you wanna see it more so you would be willing to pay, now stop being a bunch of pussys please

I really don't see a reason to go as far as boycotting a company just because of movie delay. I'm not saying that its okay or that I'm happy about it. They could've delayed it just a month or so and it would've been fine, but making it in July is just bull crap. However, there is no need to get so fussy over it, they probably can't change the date back anyways.

There might not be any point, but we can't sit back and let them walk all over us. Boycotting gives us a voice, and it shows them that what they're doing isn't right. It might not change the date back, but it does show our feelings about the change.

there would have been a two-year gap between "Half-Blood Prince" and the much-anticipated first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," which opens in November 2010. So although we have to wait a little longer for "Half-Blood Prince," the wait from that film until "Deathly Hallows" will be less than 18 months. I am sorry to have disappointed you now, but if you hold on a little longer, I believe it will be worth the wait.
