YOU REALLY HAVE TO BE BLIND TO NOT SEE THAT CAPITALISM IS DEAD. AND SINCE CAPITALISM IS DEAD, THE STATES WHO ARE HARDCORE CAPITALISTS LIKE THE USA AND EU ARE MOVING TOWARD FASCISM.
There are dozens of executive branch cabinet departments, over 100 federal agencies,. more then 85 000 pages in the federal register and numerous state and local government agencies that regulate, regiment, tax and control every aspect of every business in America.
Not to mention a FED!!!! Isn't central bank something Marx advocated!?!?!
@zg76 i own a biz and like the fact that govt sets some rules. in same way we have separation of faith and state, we need separation of economics and state. if govt takes more of ur money for others in taxes, then its SOCIALISM. for now, US is still better than any european country. noone should ever pay more that 20% of their income in taxes.. ever! at local, state and federal level, including property taxes and so forth. no biz should pay more than 10% and every biz should pay at least 5%.
@zg76 well, just as there is sepn of church and state but the state is still supreme to regulate it, make it nonprofit and set all the rules and decide whats right and wrong., they should tax businesses, set and enforce rules and so forth. the line is they shouldnt own or run schools, health care, be doing social security, health care, guaranteeing mortgages with fha and fannie mae, +so on. they should mostly outsource or partner with private sector. some crony cap'm perhaps.
@zg76 pt2. i see taxes and most regulation of business more as a social thing than a pure economic one. y its called social engineering. i'm an economic libertarian but also a social progressive-libertarian as opposed to a conservative-libertarian. its an issue of degree. statists want as much taxes +regn as possible, i want the absolute minimal for a stable capitalist multicultural society. ti me, if anyone pays more than 45% in total local-state-fed taxes +regn costs, thats socialism!
@reg12269 To be totally honest, that was also my standpoint til some time ago.I hope you believe me when I say I totally understand you.
Here is how I got rid of that last bit of need for state.First, taxes and regulation are definitely a economical issue(social one also).I`ve become opened for ideas of voluntary society when I came to a point where it was perfectly clear that state only can exhibit bad influence on economy.Bit by bit I realized most prosperous economy would be one without state
@zg76 You skipped my question, how are taxes for "some rules" collected? How implemented?? i dont get the question. thats y i skipped it. also please explain the PRAGMATIC way u will get the govt incl the supreme court to voluntarily give up govt control of things it has constitutional and popular rights to execute on? what other country does it? US will never lead that moment! ideas but be executable too. to have value.ur right on taxes since its REVENUE. spending is more social!
@reg12269 Yes and no, costs of regulation are also definitely there. I referred to you writing some taxes are needed and some regulation (I presume taxes for army, police, inspectors and so on, for implemented those regulations), and my question would be are taxes collected by simple, brute force, and is regulation implemented the same way?
Great questions, but do you presume those kind of problems did not crossed my mind before I realized voluntary society is the right, most efficient and moral way of human "society" organization??
No one expect those in power to simply say ok, it is enough... simple answer is peaceful and rational parenting. Look for it. No country does it, but almost all people do in their personal lives and there are some historical examples of free societies, look Ireland's history.
For all information of this sort please invest a little time in exploring freedomainradio and similar sites. There are practical answers for all those questions, but most importantly we have to have sound, correct and firm moral basis. In that regard Stefan Molyneux is great. Unsurpassed for now :))
@zg76 in reality, there is no pure individualism. we all get conceived in collectivism. choice we have after consciousness at around age 7 is whether we will continue in mob-collectivism or go within and trust self-collectivism! only in deep abstracts are we even close to individualism. so legalized force=govt, be it police, military, tax collectors or regulation enforcers. without the threat of force, most will not be deterred unfortunately. some force is pragmatically necessary.
@reg12269 What do you mean by "pure individualism","we get conceived in collectivism" and "self-collectivism"??
Force is needed, no doubt about it. Initiation of force is unacceptable. Gov. is pure brute initiation of force, therefore highly undesirable (in moral sense). Decentralized, private use of force in self-defense or defense is OK.

Obviously, many people involved in the lawful rebellion have got misguided opinions about religion to the extent that they have failed to recognise islaam correctly and have wrongly categorized it with all other religions.
An exchange of knowledge with them. Learn how to give the Government a lawfully very difficult time if you can hack the pressure of taking this path and teach them about islaam and why they need it and how it makes perfect sense to believe in and follow islaam if you hold the views of a "Freeman". You will soon learn what a "Freeman" is when you do intense enough research on the path of lawful rebellion with a common law jurisdiction!
Capitalism is the only moral political-economic system in the history of mankind. Nature has endowed us with the rights of life, liberty and property. Capitalism by definition means that you own your property and thus are able to work and keep the results.
I challenge you to defy that without using a single emotional argument, relying solely on the power of your logic and reason to defend your view.
Oookay... my challenge was to produce something other than an emotional argument, but I'll play along.
Capitalism means, by definition, that everyone has the right to keep the product of his work. It means property is not owned by the government, but by the individuals who produce it.
Since only a slave can not keep the results of his effort, I say yes, of course Jesus would be a capitalist. He was too. He worked as a carpenter and sold his work for profit so he could live. This is moral.

@reg12269 Separation of economics and state, totally for it, but there is just one small thing, it is either-either, you can't have both.
US is still better, no doubt, but why compare it with new ultra state, compare it to Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland...
On taxes, and how do you think those "few taxes" for "some rules" would be collected?? How implemented??
I am all for regulation, but market ones, not ones set by monopoly of force - the state!

That is hopefully also your standpoint, if I understood correctly? (that would be solely economical issue)
Now here is a problem with state in "social" seance. You skipped my question, how are taxes for "some rules" collected? How implemented??

@zg76 pt3. "some rules".. did u mean cost of regulation? of course its arbitrary and subjecive, but please clarify

So all the oil that we have that is owned by a few is that capitalism? Or how about the fractional reserve banking system?
newtype64 2 years ago
Anything that's not capitalism is not capitalism.
Anything that is, is.
What ever is not owned by the government is capitalism.
The definition of this is that property is owned by individual, as it should be.
Fractional reserve banking is obviously corrupt and can only exist when protected by corrupt law that also allows for central banks.
Capitalism means that no matter how much wealth you have it can not legally be used to harm anyone.
Anything that does is not.
