The Ethiopian Orthodox church is amazing and very intresting. I've heard Chrisitanity was there before it came to Europe. Orthodoxy is the only true christianity, the roman catholics are false liars with their power-craving pig pope, who is far from the true teachings of christ, and the protestants are all the same, originating from catholicism with overly promiscious form of 'christianity' that is truely false. But orthodoxy is the original and pure christian faith. God bless

@Menechem The dancing and vocal music and drums are used in hymns and throughout other parts of the liturgy but the holy sacred Ethiopian-style Orthodox chant as seen in this video is used to praise God in the Holy Eucharist and most of the important parts of the liturgy.

quite a few. the Ethiopian Orthodox are an Oriental Orthodox Church. their Christology is therefor miaphysitic rather than believing in hypostatic union. they also follow many Mosaic OT Laws as part of Christian worship (like dietary laws, purification laws, Saturday sabbath and also Sunday worship), and have their own traditions and prayers.

Actually, Ethiopian Orthodox, the Abyssinian Church, the only ancient church branch with indigenous African tradition. Until recently, they do have their "pope" elected by the Coptic Patriarch of Egypt. But their connection is more administrative in nature, Ethiopians are the most unique form of Christianity and nothing like their Orthodox siblings.
