  • This was pre-1968. That year I left for 'Nam. They did not show that commercial over there.

  • What's in the bag Goose? One of my favorite lines, repeated often since my California youth.

  • It was definitely not the 70's. Perhaps 1967-68. Great ad series, we need to see more of them. Thanks for posting.

  • I remember several versions of this. I think it was one of the best silly commercials of its time.

  • classic.

  • Ever since I found You Tube, I have been wating for a Goose Ad. Thanks

  • Thanks, VidKidSFBay! I've been waiting for someone to upload a Granny Goose ad!

  • I don't think this is a 1960's commercial. I seem to have a vague memory of this commercial from the early 70's, especially since the anti-litter campaign was very big during that time, and it's in color. But, I suppose it could have been a 1968 or '69 commercial. I agree, California in the 60's and 70's was a great place to be, especially the Bay Area.

  • @FromUR2UB U r right this commercial is from around 1970. Didnt have too many color shows in early 60s especially commercials..

  • I still quote this commercial but get the strangest looks here in Colorado... guess you had to grow up in Cali to understand but I still remember this from my youthful days... Cali in the 60's was the best place to grow up!

  • when ever i come home from school my grandma always says what's in the bag goose?

  • My Grandfather used to bust a gut every time he saw this!

  • Phil Carey was great in these commercials!

  • Great memories, thank you for the video!!

  • Aw sweet that chubby Mexican is my great uncle
