  • Why is everyone being so judgemental? Irish dancing was made for fun!! It's how we Irish people had parties and forgot our troubles in the hard times!! We danced!! No need to be so serious

  • good but work on those rocks!!!!

    :D

  • Love your red hair!

  • You are both very good!

  • I can do that too :) very good im on primary last dance so moving up :P

  • @reshyn they're no clicks, they're tip ups and are a part of the dance

  • girl on the left needs to hold her shoulders straighter

  • do u not know the rest of the dance

  • @hellokitty123456788 Hi, we didn't have to dance the rest of the dance at those times. I was then in primary level and my friend (on the left) was in intermediate. In our feisanna you only do the rest of the dance in advanced/open levels.

  • good job girls!

  • I do this dance in it class ??!!

  • thanks soo much!!! this video was a great help and i think ye dance really well :)

  • @goodheure I'm glad to know we could be of help to you :) I guess you're really good at this dance by now, too!

  • this is a traditional, there should not be "clicks" while doing over 2 3

  • good but the girl on the left should keep her knees together and the one on the right pick her feet up more. But good job girls!!

  • your rally-up-rally-hop-backs and cuts could have been higher

  • Great job! The movements and taps are very clear and well accentuated. An excellent performance! Do you know any other sets as well?

  • i think the girl on the left put way more energy into so it looked way better..!wel done..!

  • hey it's the exact same steps as ours :)

  • Thats because it's a traditional set dance. they are danced the same all over the world, like the ceilies:-) The music is normally also the same, just played with different instruments :-) Great vid :-)

  • they are both so good XD keep it up :]

  • the girl on the right need a tad more energy. but that was very synchronized and i enjoy watching both of you dance!!!!

  • This used to be my set....... when I was in Novice/Opens. It's my 4th fav set, after ace and deuce, plaxty drury, and blackbird.

  • wow pretty neat! I have the exact same music also!

  • the girl in the red dress is my fav! I like how she did her rocks! very well done both of you!

  • oh this is great! i did irish dancing for six years... about 11 years ago, and this is the only hard shoe dance that i actually remember how to do. loves it. :D good job. brings back so many awesome memories

  • Gr8 dancing! Wot cd is this song on?

  • Isn´t this the trad st Patricks day song?

  • I know, but you get different versions on different CD's. I like this one because of the instruments used!

  • ahh I see what you meant sorry lol. I don't know what CD it's on though...

  • It's from the album Let's dance 2 - took me a while to find it out :)

  • Thanks! xxx

  • Nice job. I'm trying to learn this one at the moment-Im ok with the opening and then I always find I'm slower than the music-any tips?

  • Nicely done! I have just learned this dance in my adult beginner classes, and there are only a few differences, so I think I will use it as a reminder video! Thanks :-)

  • I'm still in light shoes at the moment but I can't wait to start heavy shoe

  • very good you look so alike

  • that the same as the one i doo lol xx

  • most schools have the same steps for Traditional sets (Hence the name "Tradional SETS"). If they are any different at all, then it's not by much.

  • Your timing was just a slitest bit off

  • i have trouble with the tip one two's tip one two's and the rock :S

  • i love this song, and the dance, i learnt st patricks day now, and you are very nice and good!

  • i learnt my primary treble jig and then my teacher sais:"all right, girls and boys, instead of learning the intermediate reel, it's time to learn st. patricks day!" we were all pleased until we realised how boring and breathteaking our st. patricks day was.

  • lovely,

i hate saint patricksa day cos its so borin but i hav to do it so annoyin i wish i could just get 1st then do a differant set dance.

    good dancing

    xx

  • This is my favourite of all the set dances...I suppose its sentimental too because an old friend of mine (now sadly done) loved it too...you do it justice...thank you

  • nice dancing and nice dresses! i always get bored halway through trad set dances, lol.

  • Hehee, I know what you mean. But when I had done the Blackbird like zillion times, St Patrick's day was actually really refreshing lol.

  • Uuuuuh I hate the St Patrick's Day set dance lol.

    Good dancing girls !
