Why is everyone being so judgemental? Irish dancing was made for fun!! It's how we Irish people had parties and forgot our troubles in the hard times!! We danced!! No need to be so serious
@hellokitty123456788 Hi, we didn't have to dance the rest of the dance at those times. I was then in primary level and my friend (on the left) was in intermediate. In our feisanna you only do the rest of the dance in advanced/open levels.
Thats because it's a traditional set dance. they are danced the same all over the world, like the ceilies:-) The music is normally also the same, just played with different instruments :-) Great vid :-)
oh this is great! i did irish dancing for six years... about 11 years ago, and this is the only hard shoe dance that i actually remember how to do. loves it. :D good job. brings back so many awesome memories
Nicely done! I have just learned this dance in my adult beginner classes, and there are only a few differences, so I think I will use it as a reminder video! Thanks :-)
i learnt my primary treble jig and then my teacher sais:"all right, girls and boys, instead of learning the intermediate reel, it's time to learn st. patricks day!" we were all pleased until we realised how boring and breathteaking our st. patricks day was.
This is my favourite of all the set dances...I suppose its sentimental too because an old friend of mine (now sadly done) loved it too...you do it justice...thank you

most schools have the same steps for Traditional sets (Hence the name "Tradional SETS"). If they are any different at all, then it's not by much.
