  • @l14m333 the links seem to be broken, do you think that you could send me an alternative link or the file through skype? please pm me back, i have been wanting to find a program like that for soooo long!

  • Question?

I got this all set up, but when I try to run the demo- it keeps saying that it has stopped running and an error has occured, help?

  • hello man, great job!

where the source is available? Thank you!

  • This isn't fake. This also isn't the only software. Stop trolling, guys.

  • Haha, the screen in the corner wasn't even the bigger screen recording.

  • link says 404 something

  • Fake

  • does this work while i have the Kinect for Windows SDK installed?

  • i click on it n it wont even turn the program onn wat shoud i do

  • @phillleb thats a good point... Its because at the time i was only familiar with C# and i wanted to develop the kinect application.. so i did it on windows lol

  • @phillleb Games..... + do you think microsoft would make a build for mac?

  • @phillleb Games.....

  • @phillleb is your brain gonna burst?

its ok if you lack creativity

  • @phillleb Oddly enough, I'm running windows 7 on that same mac lol

  • Well, guess this is fake, first of all this doesn't open in visual basic, and secondly, thats a mac touch screen.

  • @phillleb

    Because Mac OS is shit.

  • because win7 is the best op. system ever

  • Check out my channel to DOWNLOAD Win&I successfully! Control your PC with Kinect - Guaranteed to work!

    Thumb up to notify others!

  • @TaylorHolmes Yes, Thats the idea... it detects your hand when it is aprox 1cm away from the screen and how can it be a mac touchscreen when they don't exist and i supplied the source code?

  • Guys don`t be pessimist, this is real. You can even download such a program from tiptep.com.

If you have a Kinect, you can find a lot of such a programs, which will allow you to control your computer from distance

  • @MistrVahag : for them, things in development phase seems fake because it's not in the market yet. Just chill out, plenty of others are having fun in developing many interesting stuff. When it becomes a nice product in the market, perhaps they will stand in a queue to buy it ;)

  • @onlinerloonatic Yap, agreed ))

  • The .exe does not work, I have installed the platform and that does work when Kinect is connected to my PC. When clicked on, the .exe gives me the old loading mouse, yet nothing happens. I would really appriciate a sit-rep on this project, as people are eager to use this, in fact I'm ready to help as a dedicated test user. Feel free to contact me: Kr3m1in@552clan.c 0 m

  • @phillleb Why would he want to run osx?

  • does not work

  • Oops, I mean 'Why won't it start when I click it?'

  • It won't it start when I click it?

  • LOL Apple monitor...

  • every time i try to open kinecttouchv2.exe it just fails instantly...

  • For whatever reason the program won't start at all. I'm guessing cause I'm running 64 bit? I have the CL NUI SDK installed too...

  • looks more like a touchscreen

  • Does it work on windows XP?

  • @johnacsyen No, only work for Windows 7 has touchscreen

  • WHY WONT IT START UP!!!!

  • I'm guessing no x64 support?

it would be nice if possible.

  • What do you put in the working area boxes?

  • so the .exe file wont run.. can someone help me??

  • there are some real adaptions of kinect for linux, osx, and windows 7 floating around, but this one is a touchscreen video

  • i dont run the program

  • Comment removed

  • wait, in this video you have used your Kinect to turn your screen into a touchscreen...

i must admit , it is novel and original

    but.... whats the point?

  • @carmatic

i am getting the impression that your program only uses colour to track objects and there is NO Z-information being used at all? otherwise why would it need the colour of my finger and the wall be prone to clashing colours?

i was hoping to not have to reach my hand all the way to touch a screen

  • @carmatic yes thats correct... there isn't any Z information and due to the processing of each pixel it was never a good way to do it... I might develop something better using the official SDK later on this month/next month if i have the time

  • @l14m333 do you have develop a new software using the official SDK?

  • why do people think its fake? download it and try it and you will see its not fake. great job it works great with a projector tv :)

  • would it be hard to implement a second finger for selection ? like a scissor motion state between the index and the middle finger ?

  • @leonydacruz nope :)

  • Hmm, it would be MUCH easier to just track the closest object and put the kinect at the tv/monitor facing you, kinda like the xbox interface.. i had a hard time setting this up since i put the kinect on my table in front of the tv and then i got black spots on my tv and my finger was the same color as the tv, also the tv was far from rectangluar since the kinect was on the same level as the tv facing up..

I want it more like the Xbox control, but when you move your hand forward you click :)

  • @inkanus5jg since when have mac's been touch screen? look at the camera feeds on the program running.. the top left one is the depth camera from kinect being used to look for my finger in front of the screen

  • @inkanus5jg thats an Imac and they dindt have an multitouch screen dude

  • @inkanus5jg

No hes not dumb ass. Kinect uses a Depth analyzer, and when the hand passes that certain Z orientation, thats when the thing realizes that your clicking something.

  • Could you do a video of seting it up, because my the color of my finger is so close to the screen it's quite difficult and I think I'm doing it wrong anyway.

  • @Jon88938 i wont do a video but i will make it easier in future releases

  • @Jon88938 i suppose you should hold your finger 1-2" away from the monitor to get it right, and when you press you click, kinda..

use allmost the same values for the bg as the finger but the finger should be slighly closer values and the bg should be slighly further away.

kinda hard to explain how i'm thinking tough :P
