@adil2552 Well, we didn't try any other amp as the EVH was all we wanted to use really for this recording. We have used ENGL before and will probably dub with EVH and ENGL for the recordings of the upcoming album.
Hey man, that's a great sound you're getting out of that EVH. Have you by any chance tried ENGL amps? Just curious to see what you think of the EVH compared to ENGL.
@GuardianOfFate12 - Well, I like both of them and they great amps. But you really need to sit down and feel the difference for your self. When you play the amps it's really up to how you play and what you want out of an amp.
Some amps are great for live shows (could be less expensive ones) and some are just great overall. We go with EVH and ENGL when we record our upcoming album. The EVH just give us killer tone to match the ENGL.
Well, no.. It's very diverese.. I think it's for a reason that Fredman has used this amp on all recordings he have done the last 1 1/2 year. You can get anything from Blues up to Metal sound from it..
No this is just the amp, micked up. Nothing is modified what so ever.. maybe Fredman has a compressor some where in the chain? But this is amp is the shit!! It sound just great..
Another awesome band hailing from Sweden. I thought CT8 was pretty good, But these new songs are so destructive. Forget to forgive is by far one of the greatest composed melodic death metal songs I've ever heard. Awesome job guys, Hope you find a singer soon. Respect from Canada!
@Chipstastegood Common for studios is to have a multicable running from the recording room, through the wall, to the controll room. That way you can send the signal from the guitar to the head, the plug a cable from the head to the multibox, and from the other end of the box plug it to the cabinet.
i dont know much about sound/equipment, i was wondering what should your EQ settings should roughly be on a guitar amp to get the best recording results?
That is almost impossible to answer. But if you play metal there is some settings that will be good to start with, then experiment with. you will allmost always get such things with an amp when you buy it. So just buy the EVH AMP and you are safe!!! =)
Haha i bought a Mesa Boogie triple rectifier, and it does say what EQ you should start off with, but allot of people have been saying that they change their settings when they record, from their live settings.
We will record a new album in 2009. But if it will be released is really up to if we find a label. But we sure hope so!! Right now we aim to get out and play live!!!
guys ive just bought your old album, it is simply sacred music. all instruments are played with heavenly creativity.
