its always surprising to see how well the doors can hold the weight of the car, at least for a moment or two, when they destroy these cars. the hoods come off like aluminum foil being ripped, but tearing the roof off is like trying to rend a big harcover book to pieces with your bare hands. they are tougher than you think <:O
@BOOSTED88TSI he knew the rules. it says 500....if you come in looking like you're cheating wtf do you think they are gonna do? come on be serious. the race is meant to be junk, if you dont wanna lose it dont bring the effin thing
@BOOSTED88TSI from what i understand the car can initially be more than $500 as long as you can sell enough parts off of it and so on to get back that money. And people save a lot of money for these cause they do things, like the manual swap, themselves.
hundreds of thousands? the numbers are getting lower and lower each day. in fact I cant go out and buy a used part for my car now because so many people trash them and then turn them into beer cans. I live in Oregon...not one usable part in all the yards.
Common I think not, each year is different regardless if it "look" that way or not.
Face it many people really love these cars and it hurts to see them abused.

Maybe if you properly maintained your car (or bought one that wasn't a POS american pigcar) then you wouldn't need parts. two words buddy: OINK OINK!! thanks LeMons for doing the world a great service.
I think it was great that the left the car drivable. And team 45 got that thing back on the track in record time - i think the were posting 1:32's at one point. Good work boys!
Why? the teams got voted out because they were "too good." To me that just makes me think the voters were atleast just as big of pricks. At the Kershaw race we had the decency to vote out a car with genuinely rude drivers. Now THAT car deserved being smashed to hell.

for buying this car in Russia I must work 3 years

@bkenjura You'd be amazed what's on craigslist. Plus teams can sell extra parts from the car to get the total below $500.

It states it in the rules, you go there willing to part ways with your car. It sucks but it's all part of the race.

These races look like fun until you see shit like this... That car was worth at least a grand.

I love the P71 and I'm not at all "sad" at this. Watching this makes me want to do this even more!

@Prometheus203 And that's exactly why it got crushed. Cars aren't allowed to cost more than $500.

No shit, right? My friend was in the Houston one this past weekend. Told me no way some of the cars were $500.
