GM island is now an instanced area (just like The Deadmines) without any instance portal leading to it .. you can no longer reach it on official (Blizzard) servers but some time after WoW's release (in 1.x.x days) it was located northwest of TelDrassil and you could actually reach it .. there's nothing on it though except portals to each capital city in the game (like in Shattrath or Dalaran) .. it simply a place designed for the GMs so they don't interfer with the "live" game

I am surprised that there was not a GM on that island. They find you and you get banned. I learned this the easy way and I am looking at them the easy way too. I have infact have learned by example here that if you go to the GM Islands and you get spotted by one. They will throw on a freeze spell and you get kicked and banned from the game. So don't linger around them too much or else you will be caught and that will not be a good thing ither.

those are included on private servers depending on your repack and build of ascent/antrix. I myself run a private server and know for a fact that these vendors do not exist unless you spawn them or the repack already has them spawned.

GMs on blizzard servers don't need armour set vendors because the characters they use are only temporary, once they have answered a ticket they must delete the character they used and make a new one.

actually the real GM island if you get close to it, it does 50k dammage to you, and the only people that can survive that on their chars is a GM therefore ruleing out normal players.

This is a real island, no doubt about that, it's just hard as hell to get to. The way most people do it is use a speed hack program so they can get out in the water faster. Don't say it's fake, i've been there too.
