  • question. do centerpins have drag?

  • @Alonelyzealot Centerpin reels don't have a drag, the gear ratio is one to one. For this particular reel, the Islander Steelheader, it has a clicker like most centerpin reels. When the clicker is on, it stops free spooling and clicks when line goes out or comes in.

  • I have alot of family and friends out west canada. But last time we visited I was to small to hold a rod :P

  • It's never too late to start. :) October and November are the months when you want to be visiting if you wish to catch some salmon in rivers.

  • Well I did alot of great lakes trib fishing this year but when we visit BC again ( very soon) Im not wasting a minute!

  • Id love to try em on the fly if I hadnt just started and bought a 5 weight for trout. Lol my brother wanted to go after steelhead with it.
