hell no fucker thats it your never gonna get your works up on me if thats wat your thinking about me thats never gona contrackt dumb ass so be a nother proper
Okay, one of the most dangerous things you can do in model rocketry is to have a parachute charge deploy, with nothing for it to push out. Thats like asking for a fire to burn your rocket. Do NOT ever put a motor with a parachute charge in a rocket unless you have a parachute with flame retardant wadding or just even wadding would be better than what you're doing.
Man, You sound like a pro at rocket building... But none of these rockets fly any good? I make rockets out of A4 paper and carboard... and fly 100 times better than these, On both A10-3t's and larger motors like C6-5's and D12's
I think you would have to find another way to get an electric charge to it. Maybe you could build one using four AA batteries like the Estes launcher has. But it would probably be easier (and safer) to get another launch kit.
Cool to watch, but a waste if rockt motors and money. In all cases the centre of pressure was ahead of the centre of gravity which is why they failed: that is why real model rockets are a little taller; but hey have fun. Don't blow yourselves up :)
I know what you mean about the longer rockets. I modified the Noob 001 with a longer nose and tried it a day after this video was filmed. It flew a lot straighter and farther (in fact, we lost it.) But yeah, the store bought ones fly better and are a lot safer to use.
Although I don't recommend that anyone actually do this... I once took an Estes "rocket engine" and stuck a fuse in it and placed it in a tire and then lit the fuse... the thing went round and round quite a few times!!!
Thanks! There is some kind of meter that Estes sells, but we don't have one. The one called USAF went the highest, I don't think any of the others made it over the trees. I would like to find out if you can do two engines at once myself. That would open up some new design possibilities!

Sounds neat. If you have any videos of them, feel free to post them as a response to this video.

Is it safe if I build a saturn V replica rocket using the same method or will there be a big chance the rocket will go ballistic?
thecydonianknight314 2 years ago
These rockets weren't very safe. We had one that didn't get filmed that chased us and was too quick to run away from.

the charge at the end of the flight time is to release the streamer or parachute?
Freeworld4575 2 years ago
It's for either one, but we didn't include them on the homemade rockets.

i got a rocket kit and it refuses to ignite and i tried fire, fuses, candle wicks. how do i ignite the engine?!?!?!?! (without the detonator)

blackturtleus 3 years ago
That must have looked pretty wild! did it set the tire on fire?
htmlbandit 3 years ago
No fire. It just went around in circles in the tire for about twenty seconds and then slowed down and skidded off to the side.
blackturtleus 3 years ago
seems like alot of work!
think i'll just but a rocket pre-made
