Be VERY careful with hydrocloric acid as a suppliment. According to ayurvedic dr. John doulliard, because of lifestyle, and to thick bile, the body responds by turning the digestive furnance down to prevent it to burn holes in the intestinel wall. We need the bile because its so alkaline, and to fix the problem eat 1 beet every day, then the bile becomes diluted at the digestion works again.
Drink more leafy greens and let your body come into the perfect digestive health that will allow for thorough digestion of the beets that you eat.
When we have good amounts of Hydrochloric acid in our belly, we can digest what we put in our bodies. Through compromised lifestyles and diets, our system can loose the ability to healthfully assimilate important nutrients through digestion. Beets are just a good indicator of how well our systems are working.
do the red beets show in the urine normally? I ate a red beet (not big) per day last week and had some darker urine, but nothing red in the stool..or maybe I didn,t eat enough red beets in one take?
Thanks for the vid! Inspiring! Can you explain how increasing your hydrochloric acid also makes you more alkaline ( I'm guessing eating all those greens gives you great ph )?
yes! the top soil is everything.....i now realise that nutrition is all about the soil and the minerals....I am into smoothies big time..i have about 2 per day.....and that beet test is grape....i love my beets coz they make me feel up-beet....!!!(:
I want to tell you that it is still working for me too. I had a whole bunch of beets last night and I always get kind of nervous that it may not keep working but this morning I was proven wrong once again. I ate a lot of beets too!
Not a hint of red! I'm still in awe just like you and its been two years of a smoothie a day and I'm feeling better and better.
I did try and it works ,with a 1 betaine hcl there is no more green in the toilet after a spinach smoothie and i feel the positive effects of the nutrients at least ,you are a legend! Thank you!
About the beet test and to answer your question, I will use any kind of beet in any for for the test. There is really no right or wrong way. If you are using raw beets in smoothies and you have a good blender, I say put them in chunks and with the nutritious tops included. I feel that the best part is the beet greens. You will have to test for yourself to see how many you can handle. Beets are very strong so take it easy with them.
Question: how should I prepare (i.e., cleaning them, cutting them, leaving on or discarding the stems, and so on) raw beets for smoothies? How many should I blend?
Thanks for the note. Isn't that funny, there really is something about the raw beets that really get my throat too. I get the same effect from beets juiced.
I would suggest trying them cooked for the test, that works just as well and they are not as irritating in my experience.
Hmm...Id try this test except raw beets irritate me...they actually make my throat feel scrathy...its too bad..I love them shredded in salad...but alas...
You can really use any amount of beets that you know may come out red on the other end. Try both raw and cooked. I have been using raw shredded beets in a salad for my recent tests.
I just don't get the red anymore. It's a really cool test.
I grow my own beets organically, but I am also afraid of ingesting parasites, so you should clean the produce with vinegar or food grade hydrogen peroxide. If you put apple cider vinegar in the green smoothie, a minute amount it will also predigest the raw food and make it easier to digest as it provides extra enzymes. Another idea is to drink a fermented beverage along with the smoothie.
You are awesome! I love getting comments like yours. I can feel the passion in you text!
I'm right with ya though. Wouldn't it be fabulous to have learned some of the amazing thing we can do for our health in the public schools so many of us have gone to? And the doctors, don't get me started!
I love my smoothies and I don't know any doctors. Actually I have a naturopathic doctor friend that gives me tons of good information for free!
This is great, I've never heard of this, how come we don't get this kinda of info from our doctors & health practitioners. All we get is, take this pill, take that medication.... here's the bill, pay me!
What helps your digestion is drinking as much leafy greens in your smoothies consistently over some time. The beets are just used for an indicator as to how well your body is digesting. Does that make sense?
It took me about 6 months on a smoothie a day befor my hydrochloric acid was strong enough so I didn't see the red from the beets in the toilet.
I read the book ages ago, and I forgot about the beet test. I should read the book again (I own it). I suspect my HCL is low, or at least that it was before I started drinking GS's every day since May 20th. I never thought about the beets but I know they used to come out red before. I should eat some now to see if there is a change. Thanks for the reminder!

How many beets do you have to eat for the test? One a day for x days? X beets at one time? Do they have to be raw? Thank you.

So, will the beets, help your digestion?
even though I do the green blended smoothies, I am still not digesting that well.
