I really like the idea, and yeah it could be used for teaching rollouts. Could we customize our own paths and checkpoints? Also, do you have any plans about release dates
@MrGinXL I have had a few people testing it and I always had to show them the route first. After 2-3 runs they memorized it easily. After that they spent 100-200 runs perfecting their movement and jumps.
So yeah, in the first few runs there should be something showing where the next checkpoint is. I'm just not quite sure how to do that.
you said you aren't sure how to implement where the next checkpoint is. I would like to offer an idea.
when you are playing capture the intelligence, isn't there an arrow at the bottom of the screen pointing to the other team's intelligence? couldn't you "mod" that arrow to point at the next checkpoint rather than the intelligence.
Perhaps you could turn this into a game where you can play any class, but each class has a certain amount of time to complete their set objectives. Then you could still have the scout doing what he does best - racing.
I feel like the only reason to use tf2 as a platform for this would be to incorporate weapons in some manner. I'd assume you've considered that though. Would it only be Scouts, or are you planning on including other classes? I guess that'd be pretty difficult to do, unless you have them competing in a different course, or if they have different objectives to complete.
@UnrealNumina The mod could go in many directions. It was intended as a fun mod where you get 5-8 people on the server and race against each other. But another direction could be to practice different kinds of mid-rollouts for different classes.

Imagine this with Soldier jumps! Everyone on the same team so no clipping issues, infinite rockets and health!

just something to think about

I think you need to add some way of knowing where the next checkpoint is. It's clear you know where to be going next, a new player would not.

This would be a very good way to teach people rollouts for competitive matchs.
