That is 1000000000% definatly a true red terror!!!!!and anyone that thinks its a mayan obviously dont really know what there talkin about!!!!!!!!And i know this because i know what im talkin about!!!!!
its a red terror bcos it has the y pattern on its neck/body mayan's jusy have vertical bars also it looks like a mayan bcos it's colour is faded maybe due to stress but defo a festae
That is a mayan cichlid. I catch them wild and own one too. They stand no chance against a red devil. My mayan cichlid is the punk in the tank that gets whooped by the jack dempseys and the red devil. I keep it cuz I like mayan cichlids though. They look nice when they are grown.
that is NOT a red terror you got a Maya cichlid where ever you got ur fish i would go raise hell that they are deciving people. and the lesson is DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!!!!!!! know what your getting dont trust a moron just because he wrote it down ♦♣♠♥
that's right. Especially with the economy. Most places will sell you anything. I know i've learned the hard way to do research. I had a bad ass cichlid community a while back. Now I have a red devil tank.
hey guys i have a 122 cm tank or 4 foot i want to buy a single fish yet im not sure what to buy red devil or green terror does ANYONE have ANY suggestions please ANYONE can reply thnx
thanks i just re did my 2 foot tank today i did a big clean up now i need to let it set for about 4 weeks and ill go buy my juvi gt then when he gets a bit big ill put him in my 4 footer
my aunt gave me one her son was going to flush it down the toliet and she gave it to me i keep him or her in my turtles tank and even eats the same food
8 dollars at petco if they got em u just got have em order them but if u go to a small fish place that is ran by the same dude every day then around 40 lol if u order off line its 35 just for shiping
yep... the mental torment is enough to make most fish, sharing with a hostile red devil, wither away. the cant eat, cant sleep, always nervous. but hey... thats nature. in the wild it happens a lot. dont look underwater if you dont want to see fish terrorizing other fish. 'will2ck' cant you see a divider? we use this method to introduce fish to each other but some will never share. see my vid.
piranhas are shit in less there in a group put a 30 inch emporer or a 24 inch dovii with any piranha and you can lie about them to cause that piranha wont know what to do except hide like a bitch and still get eaten o yea and jaguar cichlids are know to eat piranhas and even small birds do the reseach peace.
that festae died? that sucks it had decent color but yea my midas would kill red terrors or vicously maim them. you just gotta break down and get more tanks or a really really good divider. feed that midas some better foods get its color a deeper red! nice fish
hahahah it's cuz red devils are reallllll assholes! although they kill or harrass anything they see they're my favorite fish! if you keep one of them in a well established tank you will notice they're quite the character!
well if you were smart you wouldn't have put the two together but apparently you're a dumbass so you did. piranhas don't fight. they just eat whatever they can see. the only way ill believe your black piranha ate 2 red devils is if they were less than half its size but i highly doubt that ever even happened.
well I might was a dumb ass but atleast I now know the number one fighting fish is a black piranha or any kind of piranhas I wouldnt be dumb enough to buy them bull shit red devils because they aint nothing but some gold fishes LOL
if you're now talking about the most violent fish it is a snakehead. piranhas are shy, timid, rather boring whereas snakeheads are the exact opposite. btw, i found it rather amusing that you admitted to being a dumbass. that just shows that you really are a dumbass. haha....
snakeheads is some bull shit fishes too they not what people make them out to be i also made that same mistake with a green piranha and a snakehead fish which I thought it would be okay by both being mean fishes what a dumb ass I turn out to be when I saw that snakehead body in half and thats when I gave up on trying to find a tank mate for any of my green piranhas
you got to be lieing now because piranhas known to eat any animal alive and has for that bull shit fish you so call a hoplias I had one of thoses as well and my barracuda ate that fish up so I had to put that barracuda in my white piranha tank and watch my piranha kill him
It depends on what way you look at it. Piranhas when alone are cowards (unless raised in a tank alone then its territorial) as they are born pack hunters. Red Devils on the other hand can be mean as sin. They are known to chase down large Tinfoil Barbs and try killing them, they are also known to be smart enough to literally 'flip' other fish out of their tanks. Piranhas are smart but Red Devils are a far smarter fish, and most often kept in large tanks or single species tanks due to this.
I also have a question for you? WHY are you visiting a video on a Red Devil if Red Devils are 'shit fish'? I think Bala Sharks are boring but I don't go bitch on someones 'Bala Shark' video and say their fishes are 'shit goldfishes' (one word there buddy)
Festae's ( red terror ) are beautiful fish. Females tend me be MUCH more colorful than males and are generally more aggressive than the males as well ( a rare thing in the cichlid world ). Right now I have a female Festae that's about 8 inches in a 125 gallon tank with a 10 inch Flower horn. They never fight so i don't have to move one of them.
the dividers dont really do much for strong fish... a red terror is very rare, red devils look like a messed up gold fish, i would have rather kept the red terror.
No, that is a true red terror ( Festae ). It's just not a very colorful one. Look at they Y shape the stripes by the head. That's one way to tell a true red terror.
the guy on the right is a Mayan Cichlid, i had two of them and an oscar in one tank, i bought them all at the same time, somehow one of them out grew the oscar and the 2nd one, he beat the shit out of the 2nd and killed my oscar, i had to get rid of him because he started taking his rage out on my plec
Wow you had a festae from the guayas river, Ecuador, and you put it up against a bigger red terror who obviously had more territorial belongings, meaning you had him longer. You should have waited more, he looks extremely malnourished.
My Caquetaia umbrifera killed my Red devil two jaguar cichlids and my flowerhorn in one night while i was sleeping :(
My Caquetaia umbrifera now lives happy with my 18years old lungfish :)

These fish (festea) will kill butterkoferis,
and midas, only and only when healthy and colorful. Otherwise it's as tame as a gold fish.
shame on you. Try to find another red terror vs finding a red devil. you will find red devils.
You lost a good saltwater looking fish.
