Anyone else think the Delta plane (777?) looks like it has a face? The black thing under the nose looks like the mouth. And....I filmed Virgin's 747 "English Rose" taking off at Manchester here in England a few years ago!!!

the problem with airbus is that there planes are way to ambitiuos and very hard to fly. if you move the control stick it takes exactly ona and a half seconds to respond wich is why i prefer boeing

I prefer Boeing over Airbus only because Boeing has been the leader in aviation for over 90 years when they were first established. Now im not saying that Airbus sucks, im just saying that i prefer boeing.

Agreed - airbus have a tendency of giving their autopilot WAY too much authority. In some circumstances, a pilot cannot overrule the computer! There have been 2 serious incidents to date in which the autopilot made an uncommanded pitch down manouvre and since it was an airbus the pilots had great trouble overriding it.

The systems of airbus have got pro and contras but all in all they make flying more safe!

If you say that airbus pilots had a lot of troubles with their systems you should read about the troubles which boeing pilots had.

Humans are making mistakes every day and computers not. They just do what the humans enter and i´m sure that all incidents were caused by humans failures

Because otherwise they wouldn´t have a lot of sense in an airplane! Every pilot has to rely on their equipment and if they couldn´t the computers would be very dangerous and then nobody would build it into an airplane! Computers especially computers in airplanes have to run through several tests and if they wouldn´t pass them then you wouldn´t find them in any airplane!

@8aviator8 hmm.. do you have any idea how computers work, they work based on subatomic particles, namely, electrons moving around a circuit do to a potential difference across the circuit, now electron movement is actually quite random, they move at a relatively slow speed i.e. they drift through the conductor, and when electrons enter at one end they displace a nearly equal amount of electrons at the other end. As you can imagine such a process is not always perfectly exact and can have errors.

@overclockerfx therefore, there can be problems with autopilot systems, not to mention short-circuits, as with any computer, e.g. I know of a situation where some of the electrical equipment on the flight deck completely blacked out, and only one screen was available for flight management and instruments, this is actually quite common. Also since aircraft still rely highly on radio navigation, their can be a number of problems with interference in the radio frequencies creating ghost signals.
