  • The Lost Colony of Roanoke was never truly lost. There have been no bones, no graves and nothing to suggest the "slaughter" of the colony. Chief Powhatan taking in women and children and making slaves out of some. 20 yeares thus past. Sir William Strachey and Thomas Gates who was sent later to look for the Lost Colony. They were in their back yard at Jamestown all along. Archaeology has found everything BUT the colonist.. DNA is the only way to find the families today. ;D From NC/Chesapeke.

  • I have a skining knife embedded in Oklahoma stone, I do not know the material of the knife but it is hard and will not seal like the surrounding stone. The interesting things I have heard of makes me wonder why these things are not abundant on the internet.

  • i'm a descendants of the Lost of colony of Roanoak thru 2 blood lines.

  • Smart one, there ARE no descendants as of now, seeing how the blood line is nonexistent. The colonists could have been massacred by natives or just perished. And you do know that there are actually 2 colonies that were lost there, right?

wait no you don't. Otherwise you wouldn't make a presumptuous and faulty claim like that.

  • actually...yes I am descended from the lost colony. Thru the Little and Johnson family.

and no it was not 2 colonies lost....only one got lost.
