  • i would still have the 300. Sorry i am a lover of the old school

  • Watching a Nissan 370Z go around mountain roads while The Crystal Method plays in the background (great music choice by the way) is just awesome. Your reviews are better than any other i've seen on YouTube-- and i've seen a lot.

  • @PrimeEden - Many thanks for such kind words! We hope you'll stick around and watch more of our stuff and tell a friend, blog, or forum along the way.

As far as music goes, we have a very talented film composer who makes us what we need - we are blessed to have him. Thanks for watching!

  • No mater what! Give me the 350!!

  • i have a 300zx twin turbo and it blows me away everyday. ive owned a few jap turbo cars, but for me the 300 is much more fun to drive.

the supra was good but had something lacking.

MR2 turbo was great but isnt in the same league as the 300zx,

although the best car ive had was my rs cosworth, until it got stolen :(

  • Sorry, I had the option of buying any one of the 370,350 and 300.....and I got the 300TT. I wasn't impressed with the 350+

  • noise nosie its a sports car what sport car are quite??? exacly

  • not going to lie I feel that this was bias!!! Love the video though, but just my thoughts not trying to be a stupid whore about it!

  • @jotham4200 oh and the reason behind that is not comparing the top of the line (newer DE or better HR engine) on 350z, plus the 370z leather option is only available for the top model....my brother just got it (370) while I got a HR 350....but I def agree about the 300zx TT

  • How wide are the tires? They look awfully skinny compared to how wide the body is

  • the girl that you thought was fine but damn she's sexy.. exactly on point!!

  • "I think it might be a bit fat-ases"

    lolool

  • you want to know what traction control is, its for people who no driving skill, same with twin clutch padel shifters, ahhh nowadays the car drives us , sad really

  • Great job guys!

  • i never test drove the 370z until just 3 days ago .people that like this car either haven't driven German or just don't know about cars. when i drove it, I did not feel confident in its abilities, and I think the main reason for this is the lack of visibility. It also doesn't feel as quality as Audi and BMW which I have driven. It tries to imitate them by a rough ride and heavy steering but that is not what makes them

  • I got the 03 350 and I always loved the styling and interior (for its time) after seeing the 370 though I wanna dump the bitch lol its SOOOOO much better

  • Good lord, no. The 300 was a fiasco that killed the line for over a decade

  • They need to bring back the Twin Turbo V6 for the next Z car. We need more turbo cars nowadays.

  • Catfish hahaha! It kinda does

  • why does this car remind me of a catfish?

  • @zyxw2011 IT DOES OMG I'VE NEVER REALIZED THAT!

  • i love how todd compares the cars to girls hes met lmao

  • and they did not race all three, thanks a lot

  • Why do they ALWAYS test the automatics ugh wtf!

  • very poor commentary....shit actually...go back to serving macdolds....ya want fries wit that..

  • @bear0134 LOL you are right, I don't think they know how to use the manual mode on that Autobox, gears change up instantly.. misinformed cheeseburger salesman.. go HOME

  • The exterior appearance of the Z car declined drastically with the radical departure from Z car shape in 1984, the birth year of the 300 Zx. The 240, 260, 280, and 280 ZX are the most beautiful, and the greatest, Z cars ever made.

  • @jesusisbetter You are talking about the Z31, and indeed that is the ugliest Z car ever built. On the other hand, the Z32 is a completely different story.

  • ''but the more you looked at her the more you thought, damn shes sexy'' lol

  • Todd! you love your 300 way too much. lol, that's okay though i don't blame you, it is a great car. IMO i think all the Z cars are great especially when you start comparing prices. The only other car that can compete with the Z is what.. the cayman? But that's also 10+ grand more. So for the money, there isn't anything better imo.

  • 370Z IN OTHER MAGAZINE REVIEW DOES 0-60 IN 4.6 OR 4.8 AND ALSO THE OLD 350Z DOES 5.0 SO THAT WAS WRONG BY THEM

  • @AlmirPuhovac ugh... 0-60 differs all the time. there are many things to consider like weather, tires, altitude...ect...

  • 370 styling is really nice I like the rims only wish they had a twin turbo motor as an option

  • the long hair dude is just being a bitch, like a nigger's wife.

  • An acquaintance of mine bought a 370Z, optioned identically to your test car and let me drive it around some mountain roads. I agree on the interior 99%--Every complaint I had about my own 350Z's interior has improved, down to the glovebox and oil temperature gauge. The exception is the row-of-dots gas and water temp meters. Handling-wise, the 370Z not only rides better, but it feels lighter and more confident on the same roads.

  • I dont know about everybody else but even though the 370z is pretty much better than the 350z in almost every way, it just seems more like a chick car to me than the 350z

  • I love your guys' reviews! I have a delema though.. I am looking for a first car and want to know what you guys think, 370z sport package or hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 track pack. The hyundai is more practical but the z is more sexy.

  • These two should of been the new presenter for Top Gear America!

  • @ItzCashew

My thoughts exactly. At the very least they should write for them.

  • the only issue i have with the 300zx and the 370z is the priceing. To get a well equiped 370z you will be paying near $40k and when the 300zx came out one of the reasons it was phased out is because of the price. Z cars were made to be well priced sports cars and you saw that in every Z except the 300zx and the 370z. not that i'm a hater i currently own a modded TT300zx and in the past i have owned 280zx and two 350z's. All great cars but i'd have to say the 300zx takes the cake. Nice review!

  • damn shes sexy !

  • I don't know about you guys by the 300z looks like a flying saucer that happens to have a squat squid like smile on it's face.

  • @SagaraSouske You're in the minority. Most car guys think the 300ZX looks sexy. read some old Automobile, car & driver, and motor trend mags. It was also the said to be one of the top 100 cars of all time and one of the top 25 most beautiful cars of all time. Even GQ mag called it a sexy car so......... yeah...... you're in the minority.

And yes i am a fanboy i own a red cherry pearl twin turbo.

  • can anyone tell me the pros and cons of using the traction control

  • @VietnamEarObserverf - In short, Traction Control does what the name implies. The car senses wheel slip and cuts power (Or applies brakes depending upon the system). It can help keep a driver out of trouble and safer in many situations.

But, it also separates the driver from the car somewhat. And when the system is turned off the dynamics of the car are easier to sense. Generally, a skilled driver will get more out of a car with the Traction Control off.

  • @EverydayDriver the 350Z's traction control was very intrusive how would you rate the 370's?

  • @Daytonaman675 - The traction control in the 370 is okay, but definitely intrudes and mutes the car. Todd especially found the car much more fun with the Traction Control off.

  • @EverydayDriver With all the R&D being dumped into TC systems you would think that Nissan could atlest put a multi stage TC on the sport package z's.

Thats too bad about the VDC on the 370, it really bothered my 350 in any "spirited" driving too.

  • @EverydayDriver How light is the steering wheel of the 370Z compared to Infiniti G37S ?

  • @VietnamEarObserverf one of the pros is you don't die.

  • @VietnamEarObserverf its keep ur tires on the ground so u dont spin out things like that it regulates your rpms to wheels so u dont spin oput burn out take off (drifts dont use it so they can slide) hope it helps

  • There right, too me when i saw it at first i said ehh its okay .. but after awhile it happened to be one of the sexiest cars on the road in my eyes

  • Oh, man! Gotta love the metaphors! Lol

  • Don't care for the 370z mostly because of the back end, it looks fat. It's like they took a maxima rear end and stuck it on the Z.

  • I got 370z and I never regret owning this hot girl :p

  • The brakes are actually not fade-resistant.

  • hey, and the nissan 280z?¡

  • paddle shifters ruin a sports car like the 370z

  • Long live the 300ZX!!!

  • 1st place: 370z, 2nd: 300ZX TT, 3rd: 350z.

  • These guys suck at reviewing

  • These guys don't like the auto, but every review and fan forum report I have seen shows that the auto outperforms the manual no matter who is driving it. I have been a long term manual guy but got the auto for this reason. Drive both and make your own choice, but know that you will give up some performance with the manual. It's about 13.3 (manual) to 13.1 (auto) in the 1/4. Not much but...

  • for the price, look and fun to drive, i'll go with the 300zx TT period. The 370z might be the modern and faster car but the price and insurance will eat you.

  • In terms of everything I think the 300zx in the 90's body is the best. I prefer the 370 to the 350 though.

  • love the 370 but one thing i'm not sure i'll ever like about it is the jagged window line on the sides of it

  • You guys need to do the Toyota Supra.......

  • todd is right the 300zx is the best z in the world i would know because i have a z32 aswell........it is the only twin turbo of the z familly.... so long live the z32...

  • The reason he keeps saying that his best car was 300zx is because he owns it!!!!!

You poor reviewer, get a life!

370z rules in every point of view.

  • @hms888 the 300zx tt is a sweet car

  • These guys, especially the one with the long hair make me want to kill baby owls.

  • Is the road noise really that bad?

  • what this really boils down to it this, z cars are classics.

I own a z32 300zx twin turbo, i will never sell that car. period. when the stock engine goes out, just going to buy a nother jdm vg30dett.

  • 300zx + 370z = 370zx i would love to see nissan make this

  • the dude with the long hair is really bias towards the 300zx they shoulda found someone else to do it

  • lol "..fat assed..."

  • Power numbers are very respectable, however still shy of Europeans by displacement, an 8 year old BMW N/A 3.2 can make 335hp in M form. In my opinion, that is just stellar. And it outperforms this car even now...But Zs are far easier to come by than an M3. And I love that fun, light, efficient feel of imports...Still think a 350Z will be my next car tho, can't afford $35K right now lol.

  • is it just me or did they at first contradict each other.

  • I like how they say the 350z looks awful even though the 370z looks almost exactly the same

  • haha...damn shes sexy...you guys are genius :)

  • haha walmart had a sale on gears lmao your guys are awesome :)

  • I have one..my baby has a fat ass on her ;) loooove this car.

  • 300zx> 370z> 350z

  • @chris13295 well put. i totally agree.

  • Very thorough and complete review for a good in-seat experience of the car, exactly what I need when I'm looking for a car. I'm bent towards the 350z though since it's what I've had my eyes on for a long time. And I especially liked how you talked about the interior noise of all the debris coming up sounding "like a hailstorm". I expected it to be near quiet minus the engine noise.

    Definitely subscribing to this channel.

  • I think the 300zx is sexier!

  • @javierandrez how old are you? (im just curious)

  • I heard the base brakes (even on the Nismo) are garbage.... I don't remember which magazine I was reading but they were having a lap battle and they used the Nismo as one of the cars they were testing. They were doing a 70-0 mph brake and the car crashed because the brakes faded extremely quickly... The car's front end and right side fender (if I remember correctly) were trashed...

  • Can't speak about the base... but the sports up to Nismo are amazing brakes.

  • the 370 has the same stopping power as the gtr im pretty sure they arent garbage

  • @ludesh17 I heard the same too when tracking the 370z. Even with better pads and better airflow they fade quickly on the tracks. Obviously the car review didnt really nail the performance aspects of the car. There is a difference between tracking the car and going for a spirited drive in the canyon roads.

  • it was a time attack comp for a magazine.. after 6 hours of heavy breaking the Z's brakes went thats all.. wasnt meant to be a ready for the track car and that would probably never happen in daily driving!!

  • It might appear slow to you. However, we can promise it was much higher than 30.

Having said that, the quote you list is valid no matter what the speed. Some cars won't cope well with more than 20 or 30mph on a tight mountain road. Cars like the 370z allow for much faster speeds through the same corners.

Thanks for watching, and commenting. Try another video of ours, there's plenty of speed to be found.

  • @EverydayDriver How bad would you say the road noise is exactly? I'm very close to purchasing this car: Is the road noise bad enough to warrant second thoughts?

  • Do you really think they where going to show you when they do over 250Km/h or ish 140mph .... Never know who is watching and that a proof against you.

  • @MooreProductionsMP3

Guess you didnt see that 40mph (radar enforced) sign did you.

  • i have a 300zx but want a 350z but any z is great!!!

  • the writing tries to copy top gear too much. it doesnt work.

  • Nissan for the next z car,

look at the 300zx and 370z and combine them

take the 300zx exterior styling, 2+2 and 2 seater arrangement a BOOT! engine 3l TWIN TURBO!! no more NA ITS TURBO TIME, vvel, direct injection, 330+hp 450nm tq

take the 370z brakes, suspension, interior and then make a new 300zx!

  • @nismo007 300ZX is badly dated IMO, looks very late '80's, Miami Vice and Big Hair.

  • @nismo007 the awesomeness of this idea is incredible. u should work for nissan and make it happen lol

  • @sdick12 I don't want to work for a bunch of retards like Nissan, they are making crap like the juke and now the murano convertible

  • @nismo007 BOOM !

  • @nismo007 You can get close to that with a G37 and a turbo kit. The guys from Specialty Z are very enthusiastic about the VQ37 engine; apparently Nissan did a great job with that engine and it can be turbocharged up to 600WHP, which they have done. Check out their blog. So that means you can safely boost that engine to about 500WHP. How is that for a daily driver?

  • And also when he said about the little back window (not the rear hatch glass) but honestly the headrest doesn't block the window its actually the b pillar. It comes out just enough to block total visibility. So there's a decent sized blind spot you have to always be aware of on the drivers side. But who cares the thing looks great has plenty of power and handles like a dream. Warning: if test driven you will buy.

  • So true...after testing, I had to buy :)

  • I know this may sound ridiculous but if there is one car I cannot help compare the 370z to is the viper (i'm talking about the gen 1 vipers). It looks aggressive (like a snake with the fangs), has a high belt line and visibility isn't great. However, also like the Viper, (i have a base model 370) you get the feeling of a raw sportscar. The car just oozes out that feeling of raw power (which is odd for a v6) and toughness that the viper gives you. Except the viper puts out 425 hp and bucks in 1st

  • 300zx>370z>240s through 280s>350z

  • @RoboTekno how old are u

  • as a 350z owner, im kinda sad lol. without 350z theres no 370z. they love this, and bashed 350z left and right lol

  • i know it's hard to take a beating like that eh?

  • lol just sayin. dont really care that much.

  • i own 2 300zx.. driven 3 350Z's. a 2003, 2004, 2006.And recently drove a 370.

I will say that the 370 when driving handles the best, but you get a more "in control/real" feel in the 300ZX.

The 300ZX, whoever said it was a shit car, your opinion just fell through about 30 stories. he refered it to the 300 in comparison which is what this was about, not because he owned one thats coincedental!.

Love to see Nissan make a 300ZX with modern parts.. ie (twin turbo a 370Z engine ;).)

  • 300zx for life!!!!!!!!!!

  • 300zx all the way best Z then the 240z. TBH the 370 and 350 are last on the list for me. They are ugly and not as fun to drive and always have them hideous front lights and the melted fat rears. And yes i have test driven these cars i own a TT 300 and my father owns a 370 god knows why but he does.

  • What most people don't know is that the 370Z automatic transmission is slightly faster than the manual transmission in every way. Some magazine editors have achieved 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and ran the 1/4 mile in 13.1 seconds. Imagine someone that knows how to drive...

Unless you've driven the 370Z you have no idea what the car can do. 0.99 g's on the skid pad.... 72+ mph on the slalom....

  • plus I think they are talking to the extreme-hardcore owners. Even though it isn't like the GTR transmission, I've seen people get their stock base w/ sport pkg in the mid 13'....not bad for a transmission that sound like someone is riding the clutch. It's like telling e Ferrari or lambo owner that their car is not a real sports car.

  • automatic and panel shifters are for girls. It doesn't matter how fast they are. There is something about getting a perfect shift that makes you happy. Thats what sports cars are supposed to do, make you happy.

  • Anyone know what kind of tranny's F1 cars have? Must be a bunch of girls driving machines that are always at the apex of technology... Give me a break. Everyone has a preference and I guarantee you will think twice when a ragged POS civic blows by you cause you missed a shift!

  • @my2004Ze33 I've never missed a shift, and I drive hard and fast. If you're a pancy boy who thinks that 0.2 of a second faster acceleration matters on the road then you're frankly stupid. And if you miss shifts drving a manual, then you're simply too bad of a driver for it.

  • @vithaj92 I am honored to have the worlds only perfect driver commenting back and forth with me :)

0.2 seconds is 30 feet at 100 mph...? Not important on the road? Are you high or something? 2 tenths of a second at every turn equates to several seconds fairly quickly. I had a 350Z with a manual transmission and it was half the car that my 370Z is just like you are half the man you were before your post.

  • @my2004Ze33 I'm no perfect driver, far from it. I never miss shifts though, Driving a manual is about the mechanical experience, being the one that actually changes the gear. And what do you mean by 0.2 sec at every turn? I meant that a manual possible takes about 0.2 seconds longer to 60. not 0.2 seconds longer to shift. The shift time is quite minimal if you have a short throw stick and you're a good driver unlike yourself.

  • @my2004Ze33 And btw, paddle shifter, more manly than a proper manual? You should've said that to Senna when he was still around. Also, you should've saved the money you spent on the rubbish Datsun and bought a real drivers car like a Caterham R500. It's the same prize, and after all, speed is everything you care about seeing how you praise computerized shifters. Oh and by the way, check out the sequential manual gearbox (ala A10, RUF ctr3 and of course the one on the r500).

  • @my2004Ze33 Hi again mate, was talking to a friend of mine who do track days frequently and has won a few regional club championship races. I brought the subject of missing gears up and oh boy how he laughed. I said I agree with him and we came to a conclusion that you must've had a very badly made manual gearbox, or you didnt drive it for more than 50 hours. He doesnt even miss gears when he is racing, and if he does miss, (1 in 10 000 times) he fixes that shift in a few hundreds..

  • Shifting will become a thing of the past. When something better / more efficient comes along, there are always "purists" who scream bloody murder. But hey, to each his own (^_^)

  • @inferno0666 im in a purist in anyway shape of form, but i find the flappy shift unsatisfying in most cars, i kinda of like im slapping the car into gear, overall to me Manual shifting is better unless i want to eat a taco or talk on the phone lol

  • @Mp5Speed I can understand that you want to continue shifting manually because of whatever personal reason. But to state that manual shifting is better is incorrect, because the numbers tell a different story. Fact is that today's automatic and semi-automatic transmissions are technological marvels that outperform manual transmissions.

  • @inferno0666 i said overall to me manual is better. Meaning personally i prefer it that way. I never said they are the epitome of transmissions. I completely understand the potential of all of this double clutch, pdk, etc etc. I realize how in actuality, they do outperform manual shifting. Just personally I don't enjoy it as much. Plus there is nothing like saying "no you cannot borrow my car, since you cant drive stick"

  • @Mp5Speed Cool, I get your point. I have 2 automatic cars; a Z32 with a modified automatic transmission and high stall converter and a G35 coupe. The Z is a completely different animal with the modified auto and I freely admit that it was somewhat tame with the standard auto. I really like the auto in the Infiniti; it shifts hard and fast plus you can also change gears manually, something I do quite frequently. Nobody borrows my cars, by the way. (^_~)

  • @inferno0666 nice! and I can relate with the infiniti. I test drove the g37 in automatic. Ended up getting the g37s in manual however. Honestly, if they could find a way for there to be both id be in heaven. Every now in then im to lazy to shift and deal with a clutch

  • @inferno0666 You're right, these guys were shifting up in auto mode.. stick to flipping burgers.

  • @inferno0666 dude, no way! I driven paddle shifter cars and experiencing the retarded computer trying to process the fact that you told it to shift is boring as hell. I had a look on my face the first time I got into a car with paddle shifters of a kid getting finding out his first boner, I was like "OMG THIS IS SO COOL" but i soon as I shifter my thoughts were "that was it" Automatic is just annoying. 3k rpm to speed up a little unnecessary. Manual you grow into your car, its just more special

  • @inferno0666 tiptronic* is where im slapping the gear into gear

  • @inferno0666 Driving will soon become a thing of the past. Sooner or later computers will get the car around a track faster than you do. Technology does not automatically equate into "fun"

  • @vithaj92 Hmmm ... I do not recall mentioning that technology automatically equates into fun.

  • @inferno0666 You kinda did, "better / more efficient" sounds exactly like newer technology. Don't be ignorant, just accept the fact that many of us still want to shift gears as it is one of the few things you actually can do in a car, taking away that is like taking away the smell from food. I accept that many people prefer a flappy paddle operated gearbox.

  • @vithaj92 Hey, if you like to shift that is fine with me. Why do you take this so seriously? There are plenty of things in this world for us to worry about, and this is certainly not one of them.

  • @inferno0666 A driving enthusiast will take it seriously, just because you don't care about the aspects of driving doesnt mean that others don't. If you don't understand why I reacted to your disrespectful comment, then you should take a look again.

  • AMEN

  • @my2004Ze33 Indeed, the facts speak for themselves.

  • 300 zx is not a shit car its the coolest of all the z's my z32 tt is a freakin monster u probly cant even drive a manual go jump in ur kia sephia and leave real cars to tha big boys

  • damn how did these guys become so lucky that what they do for a living is test drive and compare cars....does anyone know how i could become a review test driver???

  • 300 all the way!

  • im completely in love with the z34, great review thanks!

  • i agree with the gusy. the 370z looks really sexy now. but I think 10-20 years from now, its gonna be ugly as shit. although I do like it. well see what happens down the road. lol.

  • Yea well look at the 80's 300zx. Cars look like shit when they are not in style anymore. That is why they make new models to keep the interest going in thier product.

  • so true! but I tend to still like the look of the 80's Z31 though. it grew on me with time. I just think the 350 will age a little better than the 370. 370 is sweet now, but i think that its looks are too busy for when it becomes a classic. it doesnt have as smooth lines as the 350 does. it looks more agressive and curvy.

  • this would be so much cooler put the camera towards the road, feel as though riding in car, this is such awesome car would love to imagine the feel, nice

  • my favs go like this...370z, g37, sti, evo 10, genesis, standard wrx, camaro, challenger.

  • aahh gata love the pony cars right? haha

  • I see them driving around lately, they're fuckin nice. Black Challenger SRT8. Cant go wrong. Black Camaro SS, fuck!!! I love all woman and all cars period.

  • lol true. ppl who love one type of car and bashes another that is just as good, aren't true car enthusiasts. and comparing woman to cars? lmao dont let your gf see that haha

  • lol trust me, she knows. right now I own an 06 350Z. but I might sell it or trade in etc. My next car might be one I've been mentioning plus others like VW gti, Subaru Legacy, mazadspeed3, there's too many I like. I test drove most already.

  • how the hell did nissan designers go from the 300 body style to the 350 and 370 it went frm lookin like a ferrari to an egg

  • It went back to it's original roots, 240z.

  • Nissan brought Italian engineers from ferrari to design the ZX, or so i've heard.

  • yea the 370Z is one of those cars that dont look good on a camera, but looks EPIC in real live!

  • AWESOME!!

  • yeaaa 370z gotta fat ass just how i like it lol

  • noisy inside....

  • you guys are really good..im loving the reviews

  • you guys give some of the best car reviews on the net. keep up the good work... and post more videos!

  • Motortrend recorded a 4.7 sec to 60 mph.

  • nice, but i hear the tire roar can be solved easily. rip off those bridgestones and throw on some pirelli p0's, the noise difference is incredible.

  • part 1 2 3?
