It was about a 45 minute class I think, and then they took you out in dually trucks around the track at 90mph to show you where you needed to drive into the turns, etc. Then you suit up and drive the racecar. Really great experience. I highly recommend.
Hey, its necessary to have a US driver's license to drive one of those cars?? I ask because I'm from Costa Rica and I have a driver's license from my country but I learned to drive in a manual shift car and it's all what I drive, in fact most of the cars here have manual shift gears.
This is an awsome experience. I did it as well. Its amazing how much confidence it actually takes to not let up on the accelerator on the turns. This was an awsone job. I reached 150 mph top speed. Nice run....
absolutely wonderful job! Talladega is my favorite track to watch on the nascar circuit. i favorited this video because we never get to see and hear from this view this long in a race without commentators blabbing their mouths. 5 stars for great driving!
did you actually drive the car or did you sit in the passager seat b/c usually the drivers get the video of them driving the car as well and the ride-alongs get videos like this.. just curious
Yes, I drove the entire time. Spotter / instructor was in the passenger seat that they welded into the car. He had no chicken brake or steering wheel. It was all me, and he just pointed and made hand gestures for moving up and down the track. He grabbed the wheel and pushed me down the track at the beginning so that I would hug the yellow line in the turns, and once he did that one time, I took over and knew the lines. It was really awesome!
yeah this is crazy! I was expecting another one where you are capped at like 35mph haha. But a 58:6 is SERIOUS SHIT!!! Nice. Thanks for the vid, I'm definately making the trip there when i come to the country!!! I'm from oz
It ends up being about $70 per lap. 6 laps is $400. 10 laps is $700. Then they have 20 laps and 40 laps I think. I did 10 laps and it was the perfect amount of time in the car.
I PLAY YOUR VIDEO FULL SCREEN WITH ELTON JOHNS SONG ROCKET MAN PLAYING OVER THE TOP....REALLY NICE....THANKS
