So it seems that this has become a Christmas tradition for me. I make sure to watch this video/listen to this song at 12:00am every Christmas, and again at 12:00 on the 26th to end Christmas. This has got to be the 3rd or 4th Christmas I've done this and posted here. I don't know exactly what it is, but I think it's the heartwarming tone of this song that symbolizes what Christmas means to me, and why I love it. I'm sad Christmas 2011 is over, but I'm looking forward to 2012. Merry Christmas!

When I was VERY young, we went back to Utah to visit family for Christmas. When we were snowed in, one of the few things I had was a Caliphone and a handful of my uncle's 45's. One of them was the original Snoopy V.S. The Red Baron, so it was a Christmas song for me even before this one came out.

The US didn't enter the war until April 1917 and didn't have a significant military presence in Europe until 1918 and the war was over before Christmas 1918.
