  • As far the UK goes, they were undoubtedly the finest, I wonder what's happened to carl?

  • i miss the days listen to big tunes like this.

  • I've always love Brit soul.

  • THIS SONG IS DOPE!

  • Carl Mc Intosh, guitar, lead singer took the band back to Jazz cafe London uk a few yrs ago - a good night, Jane couldn't make it why i don't know. Carl now works in a call centre ------ why ???? all i say is things need a bloody good shake up - Not knocking call centre staff, but that talent couped up all day its a bloody shame.

  • Someone needs to upload "Symptoms of Love" from this album!!!

  • @BUCKDOWNZ Yes, that's the same thing I was looking for. I always wished that song was longer.

  • truely bad lirics and vocals my heart is spoken just like the song!

  • I Played the hell out of this tape during Spring/Summer 1990

  • Good music always stands the test of time! This cut still kicks phat today!

Much better than the crap that's on the radio today, real musicians born to deliver the goods.

  • GODDAMN! it is 2010 and this is still my favorite song of alllll time.

  • @mustbetify = RIGHT !!!!

  • This cd as a whole was (at that time) one of the best that came out during that time period!!!

  • I miss Loose Ends so much. A very undrerrated group they were. Carl Mc Intosh sounds a little like Marvin Gaye.

  • Thank u for posting Carl McIntosh can sing! I love his smooth style produc tion wise peace!

  • Greatest soul band ever from the UK!!

This album came out years after the original line up split. For me the magic was gone a bit, but still it contained a copple of great songs, like this one. Musical mastemind Mcintosh, lifted the band to higher heights!!

They were never bettered, surely not in the UK.

  • @peterpiessens it was only 2 yrs after the when the original line up seperated

  • love this tune back then when i was growing up and hearing it again fucking love that piano key just that alone brings back good memories!!

  • CHOOOOON!!!

  • Classic... nice one for posting

  • iv still got this album...on tape. Timeless classic. great music in good times

    thnx 4 the post

  • This track reminds me of another song that was being banged about at the time called 'family', families need their their fathers, a mother needs a shoulder, to cry on when she's older-everyday yeah yeah, but cannot remember for the life of me who sings it, surprised someone hasn't posted it already....... PEACE peeps

  • That's McKoy - Family, it's on my channel. Top tune.

  • Carl Mac, elevated british R&B, what a bad boy tune, bullseye.........

  • one of thr true unforgettable songs from the 90,s really underappreciated. A real song at an good time in da world.

  • I really wish Loose Ends were still together....they've been one of my all time favourite soul groups. & even more proud that they're british. I dont think they were as appreciatted as they deserved. If you can guys, come back even for a reunion tour!

  • proper funk.

    choooo!

    chili sauce

    the finest

    encona

    hs

  • yes sir...get lifted theme muzik..luv dis shit!!!

  • Couldn't remember my fave Loose Ends - this is it..

  • Heavy track that i still rock to this day. UK's finest

  • Carl was a proper G, still is, God blessed this talent.....way ahead of the game....yes yes.

  • DA JAM!

  • Carl McIntosh stated the classic Motown sound was one of his earlier influences. His influence is indeed timeless. Loose Ends was definitely underepresented on the R&B charts. Thank god technology has outpaced entities like Clear Channel as well as stuffy radio execs/programmers. Everyone needs to be exposed to what real music has always been about. Thank you Loose Ends for being ahead of your time.

  • @miteyc thats my dad am so proud of his music wow! he is a true inspiration! he has now led me to do music! i am so happy! swoosh

  • @miteyc

    Very, very well said.

  • Tune for sure... loved it n still thank you

  • love this its my favourite track from the album

carl mackintosh is one of my favourite all time producers and is voice is amazing he is the perfect example to all the uk artists of today on how you dont need to run after or copy the US to be respected you just have to be original

  • Even though he was very original and very talented,i mean Loose Ends is the bomb and have his stamp written all over it but lets not forget, judging by his singing style u can tell he was influenced by Marvin gaye,he even admitted himself that Marvin is one of his influences.

  • thats cool cuase everyone is influenced by someone and marvin is a legend

Im happy that many people have commented on the song and loved it because it wasnt even really pushed or released as a single maybe they should have

  • Classic!

If anyone's uploading any current UK streetsoul, please holla...!!!

  • they dont fucking make em like this no more bruv :)

  • WOW....

  • Outstanding!!! Brings back great memories

  • MY brother gave me this album when i was in Germany...and it will be one of those on my ipod to put in my grave when iam buried!!!

  • This was the jam...this is my favorite album of all time

  • I played this album out! Luv it!

  • killer song, killer lp. damn i miss these days

  • @ronaldartwell

I miss these days as well.... great music

  • I remembered when I heard both "Don't be a fool" and this one in heavy rotation on the radio in 1990...

I was in the 10th grade when this came out.

  • I was in college when this album came out. After hearing this cut, I wondered why Carl didn't sing more on the earlier albums.

  • I know I used to listen to this song a lot back in the early 90's...

  • true he should have sung more

  • I feel ya on that, the Real Chuckeeboo got caught in the tape deck and I thought I was going to pass out. It took me three years to replace it and I had to get it as an import. I do not know how I lived without it for so long. This is the only cd I need to rebuy.this is just the type of music that is timeless.

  • Don't matter how many song they sing, they all were number one in my book. I played their songs on my tape player so much I broke them up. Think God for CD's. I have a few of them on CD's know.

  • Me too...I had this on cassette...It cost me $50.00 to get it converted to CD, but it was worth it.

  • twenty years old then and i lived by this song. This is what i had to tell the guys. Shoot you couldn't tell me nothing.

  • This is the bomb. Luv the heavy bass licks.

  • First heard this album on the Persian Gulf early 1991 right before going into Iraq and after the Giants won the Super Bowl!!!!1

  • Chooooooooon. For me this was the killer choon from this 1990 album. The subsonic bassline is just "like dat".

  • Everybody loved Loose Ends. They were and still are The Uk's best ever Soul/Rnb Group to come out of the Uk. They could do ballards, Mid tempo or uptempo tracks equally well. Thats why even in the Usa, when they bought out a single most Soul/Rnb Americans listened. They "sound" influenced quite a few people across in the Usa. More then people over there care to admit.. Even Hip Hop groups loved their sound....

  • ...luv that beat, (barry white) so gangsta'...this song iz the anthem of a true playa'...like me!...

  • I used to listen to this song in the 9th grade riding in my Acura Legend. Bring back great memories. I love it true music.

  • I used to listen to this song when I was in the 9th grade. I love it true music.

  • I haven't heard this is yeeeeaaaars! Thanks for posting : )

  • No worries!

  • Love that old-fashioned Rhodes piano in combination with that haunting synth bass line.

  • Agreed! Looped up breakbeat's nice as well...

  • very few know the power of loose ends. touche. got love controversy?
