LOOSE ENDS! Dam badboysouluk you said it all - they were waaaaaaaaay ahead of the curve - thanks for this one - a soulistic deep house type track before I even ever heard the term... mad love
Timeless...and it hasn't changed me. I listen to this and I'm playing basketball, getting ready for lectures, driving at 3am in London looking for a chippy that's open. They rocked the mic...
Freaky Loose ....thats what my man called 'em....killed it in the 90s....The Real Chuckeeboo was that 1album dough....all of freaky Loose was the shiiii..nill
yeah my man sho nuff had a formula... a real blue print... someone said they can hear influences on Neptunes (Pharrell, Chad, ..).. i definitely agree... ching*ching!!! subtle keys and soulful lyrics...u said it badboysoulUK...
badboysouluk, you's a righteous muthaf***** fo' sho'. Thank you for another excellent post, family - a true feast for my Discman wayback in the dayback on SEPTA outta Philly. Used to rock this & feed on the loop and vocals - won't ever be another Loose Ends; their best work - period. Talk about leaving your mark. Peace, peoples
this song is EXCELLENT. Oh it is soooo smooth and ugh..its just amazinggg :DD wish more kids my age knew about this song. instead they're stuck on modern day NOISE. BOOOO
this song is just shier perfection i cant find another word to sum up this song im so glad i decided to listen to the 90's loose ends songs imo they got so much smoother with less funk but perfectly blended
Carl Mc Intosh, guitar, lead singer took the band back to Jazz cafe London uk a few yrs ago - a good night, Jane couldn't make it why i don't know. Carl now works in a call centre ------ why ???? all i say is things need a bloody good shake up - Not knocking call centre staff, but that talent couped up all day its a bloody shame.
this jam resembles my character like a mirror. wanna see the beast in me let me realize you tryna change me.....change yourself you might like me betta
love loose ends have all there songs timeless songs its a blessing that we as people can come up with wonderfull ideas shaq did as well cant stop the rain from loose ends.
This album came out years after the original line up split. For me the magic was gone a bit, but still it contained a copple of great songs, like this one. Musical mastemind Mcintosh, lifted the band to higher heights!!
This track reminds me of another song that was being banged about at the time called 'family', families need their their fathers, a mother needs a shoulder, to cry on when she's older-everyday yeah yeah, but cannot remember for the life of me who sings it, surprised someone hasn't posted it already....... PEACE peeps
I really wish Loose Ends were still together....they've been one of my all time favourite soul groups. & even more proud that they're british. I dont think they were as appreciatted as they deserved. If you can guys, come back even for a reunion tour!
Carl McIntosh stated the classic Motown sound was one of his earlier influences. His influence is indeed timeless. Loose Ends was definitely underepresented on the R&B charts. Thank god technology has outpaced entities like Clear Channel as well as stuffy radio execs/programmers. Everyone needs to be exposed to what real music has always been about. Thank you Loose Ends for being ahead of your time.
carl mackintosh is one of my favourite all time producers and is voice is amazing he is the perfect example to all the uk artists of today on how you dont need to run after or copy the US to be respected you just have to be original
Even though he was very original and very talented,i mean Loose Ends is the bomb and have his stamp written all over it but lets not forget, judging by his singing style u can tell he was influenced by Marvin gaye,he even admitted himself that Marvin is one of his influences.
I feel ya on that, the Real Chuckeeboo got caught in the tape deck and I thought I was going to pass out. It took me three years to replace it and I had to get it as an import. I do not know how I lived without it for so long. This is the only cd I need to rebuy.this is just the type of music that is timeless.
Don't matter how many song they sing, they all were number one in my book. I played their songs on my tape player so much I broke them up. Think God for CD's. I have a few of them on CD's know.
Everybody loved Loose Ends. They were and still are The Uk's best ever Soul/Rnb Group to come out of the Uk. They could do ballards, Mid tempo or uptempo tracks equally well. Thats why even in the Usa, when they bought out a single most Soul/Rnb Americans listened. They "sound" influenced quite a few people across in the Usa. More then people over there care to admit.. Even Hip Hop groups loved their sound....
I have this tape and it still cranks all these years later.
