Juninho is the best free kicker. Pirlo is also very good, but he lacks regularity. Not often Pirlo hits the ball so bad that it just goes on the wrong way. Juninho usually when he misses, he misses by bit.

Also Juninho can hit the same the exactly same spot many times one after another, something Pirlo doesn't do. Don't get me wrong, pirlo is a very good player. Juninho is just way more regular and steals the ball way better.

In short - I don't think it's fair to say Juninho is inferior to any world class attacking midfielder - he's so good - I love Lyon, but for me Juninho made them look better than they currently really are... when he left, the team showed its true colours... a little disappointing... but they'll be back - and they'll be strong.

Juninho is also about so much more than free kick scoring - his passing is top class, he can lead a squad, he's an effective dribbler, very composed, good scorer and brilliant play maker... too many people think the man is all about free kicks - I wager you'd think differently if he played for one of the typical giants during his career.

People under estimate how good the French league is - there's tough competition there that would probably beat many Premiership sides - the league may lack a few top class teams in comparison but I think the French league has a lot more depth - they develop players at a faster rate than they leave right now.

Juninho probably more accurate but Pirlo is definitely more versatile. He has so many ingenious ways of taking a free kick or a penalty its scary. Even passing the ball he has different methods.

Though Pirlo admitted he got the technique of taking the kick with the last three toes from Baggio. Anyway, free kicks like the one at 0:47 win it for me. When he mastered that technique at one point in time ALL the keepers he took it against either went the wrong way or stood rooted to the spot.
