@unleashed2rage And there is a new Truly album to come too... I'm desperate to hear his earlier band, 'Storybook Krooks'! A tape was circulated around the early 90's (I think) and some of it found its way onto college radio. I keep asking if I can check it out!! =O)
Oh yeah, if anyone here is interested there will be an exclusive Truly song (first in 9 years!) on a forthcoming compilation LP called Hair Are Your Aerials on Fuzzy Wuzzy Records (my label). Should be coming out around Sept. 2010. 1000 copies on coloured vinyl. Fatso Jetson, Notorious Hi Fi Killers and loads more goodies on there!
Send me an email if you're interested (contact me on here, Youtube, or my Myspace page - search for NickTheLick)
The ORIGINAL line-up, yup, Robert Roth, Mark Pickerel and... Hiro Yamamoto.
I shoulda been there. Thank FUCK I told my mate Marcelo to go along and film this! Most of the audience was made up of my friends who I DEMANDED go in my absence! (I was at a wedding in Greece at the time, Robert understood this thank fuck!) =O)
I think it sounds cool, especially for a cheap camera or phone recording or whatever. Early in Roth is cupping his ear and pointing up to the side of the stage, it looks like he's having some trouble hearing himself. It's seldom very flat or sharp and only slightly and occasionally, but it doesn't bother me? There's great emotion and melody and the band is rockin' totally f%&@#$! hard and very well! Thanks for posting this!
What kind of bass is Hiro playing??
