Oh, and we would be wearing flaks, helmets, LBVs, rifles, the whole nine yards. Ever build a bridge wearing a gasmask or in pitch darkness with only a glow stick? Been there, done that.
You Army pukes have nice bridge sets. In the Marine Corps our MGB sets were older than the guys putting them together and wouldn't go together worth a damn. Our record for a 22 bay with link was 47 minutes, from palletized to first vehicle crossing. 1371 - Bridge Co., 8th ESB, 2002-05.
super jobs guys , being a engineer my self in the canadian forces , i know the pain you feel building that mgb, especialy that we did it yesterday and we were only 12 on the damn thing
MGB bridge is tiring if you're fighting for timing especially when it comes to the last part where you rush putting the decks, kurbs and ramps.I nearly lost my toes 17 years back when i was supporting the training of officer cadets, one of them lost his strenght and the top panel just dropped to the ground missing my foot just 1 inch or less.Cbt Engineers task were tough and dangerous, only those that go through it were understands.Fucking heavy.......loads damaged my knees.
