I first heard this music when I was a kid in Ethiopia. Back then I didn’t understand a single word he was saying but I loved it anyways…fast-forward, now, I am in America and still love this song. Can’t stop listening to it. What a voice Vince Gill has.
You mean to tell me that this song has only slightly less than 300k "listens" but the average pop song today has like 100 million? BS man. That is rediculous. There's a lost generation out there.
@wittyunpredictable55 I was born in 1989. I have the right mind to know music behind the year 2000 was pretty darn good. The trash music being generated today with it's Vulgarity is just awful. Poor kids, It's just a shame..

@MXER2399 I was born in 1988 and feel the same way, music has no feeling anymore. It's just cuss words being sung to a repetitive loop. But o' well, all we can do is just try to keep good music alive as much as possible.
I was only 7 when this song came out and will never forget it i remember singing it all the time :) even me and my friends would sing it at school. i miss this kind of music. i make sure to play these types of songs around my girls so maybe when they are 27 they will remember sining it too :)
This is what you do... shut off the TV and head to the local library! I was born in the early 70's and my kids love the music from when I was little!!! Especially country, it is not as threatening as music today. Your local library is the place to check out the good ol music for free!!!
I agree with those who say this song is wonderful, and that the music from today has little to no meaning or feeling. However I was born in the mid-nineties, and I cannot agree with those who say "poor kids born after this time period". I know many kids who still listen to and enjoy this type of music, and do not think that a stereo-type fits us all. Still though, great music, and amazing voice. :)
