The story(s) in Soul Calibur IV were just flat out awful. hopefully, Soul Calibur V can make up for that, and not just change the apperance of characters and introduce new ones that have no relevance or meaning to be put in at all other than to kick ass. if time is going to skip 17 years after Soul Calibur IV, I can only hope that it means the game developers will get off their ass and make an effort to put a decent story in there... not multiple one-minute what if stories.
and plus no offensive to MK the blade moves Deception to Armageddon were REALLY lame... almost no one had any new variation of moves like they would in MK9 but thats different

I played some of it before it's similar to IV (SC2 being the best) at least feels more true to a SC game SCV is no different than IV just gave it a V and made it weaker by putting this wannabe Justin Bieber new guy in the trailer. @sullyandfriends you may want to reveiw all the previous games as most of the conclusions are a combination of all the endings, like in sc3 we didnt see nightmare and siegfried destroy the lost cathederal but it happened in sc4 anyway. But the guy at the end is sophitia's son.

I swearto go they better bring it back to Soul Caliber II speeds. I know III was pretty good, a bit more tactical, but there was an imbalance towards strong characters. But IV... was terrible. No real balance. Nightmare/Siegfried were OP characters. And the game was incredibly slow.
Me and my housemate bought it when it came out and within the hour we just switched on Soul Caliber II again.

I feel the same. This is what I said: I really hope that, if you can get Create-A-Soul in this, you change the height of your character. It is a small request, but I really, really, want to be able to do that.
I would also hope to have the female clothing being as good and non-revealing as tha males, though I would not count in it.
@Rikku2250 Yeah, and in four the Create a soul characters had only about 100 pieces of armor for each sex but in number three they had like 300-400 each and the female clothing in that one wasn't that revealing either, mind you there wasn't that much to reveal on the females in that one, but the point still stands.

@sullyandfriends you may want to reveiw all the previous games as most of the conclusions are a combination of all the endings, like in sc3 we didnt see nightmare and siegfried destroy the lost cathederal but it happened in sc4 anyway. But the guy at the end is sophitia's son.

@sullyandfriends The two spirit swords are now short swords, indicating Siegfried and Nightmare no longer have them. It's 17 years after Soul Calibur IV. We don't know which, if any, ending is canon. The guy at the end is Patroklos, Sophitia's son.

I swearto go they better bring it back to Soul Caliber II speeds. I know III was pretty good, a bit more tactical, but there was an imbalance towards strong characters. But IV... was terrible. No real balance. Nightmare/Siegfried were OP characters. And the game was incredibly slow.
Me and my housemate bought it when it came out and within the hour we just switched on Soul Caliber II again.

I would also hope to have the female clothing being as good and non-revealing as tha males, though I would not count in it.

@Rikku2250 Yeah, and in four the Create a soul characters had only about 100 pieces of armor for each sex but in number three they had like 300-400 each and the female clothing in that one wasn't that revealing either, mind you there wasn't that much to reveal on the females in that one, but the point still stands.

Good god I hope not. Ivy is such an insult to woman and nothing but fanservice for males. I HATE her outfits most of all. And she acts like a slut. I thought the only british character would be better than that. The ONLY female characters that have goo outfit and not massive boobs are Hilde and Talim (due to her age), Amy dresses in a style no fourteen-year-old should have.
