I just bought a yaris.... I always wanted a Toyota cuz my family lives by them that they are dependable good cars that last you a life time. The only one I could afford out of the toyota family was the Yaris even though I really wanted a Corolla, and I was wondering did I get a good car that will last me a long time as well as did I make a good investment?
This is funny! About 4:57 as he mentions Toyota fateful is you pay close attention you'll notice that he shakes his head. Not everyone believes in Toyota. Smart man!
Excuse me I didnt ask for your opinion BITCH. I think that indian guy is cute. If you dont like indian men then that is your preference. So screw you!
the "Yaris Sedan" in the USA is marketed as the "VIOS" in southeast asia and europe...thats why i was wondering why this car looks exactly like the VIOS it is a VIOS they just slapped a "yaris" label on it it seems pointless to have the same car be called 2 names
B-segment refers to sub-compacts (Fit, Yaris, Versa); C-seg cars would include the Civic, Corolla, Sentra, Focus; and A-segment (pretty much non-existent in the U.S.) would include the new Smart Fortwo.
lol 3:35 is funny....i was scared when i took my driving exam lol but havin' those in the middle allowed those containers to be accessible to drivers (i hav a hatchback...) and it sure helps. but yea...i like to keep those info to myself, too ;)
as long as it takes me from point A to point B while giving me 36 miles/gallon its alllll good. Gas will be $4 a gallon soon. More and more of these cars can be seen on american roads now.
Good point. And, like it or not, Americans are going to be seeing a lot of these puppies on the road for a long, long time. I like the sub-compact cars a lot and they're long overdue in terms of gaining acceptance by American drivers.
Hasn't this car been of for a couple years already? I hardly see any on the road. It's too odd and homely for people to want it. It's a new interpretation of the equally as odd and ugly Echo which failed miserably in sales.
Well, thing is here(Europe, gasoline price over one euro per liter) we like small cars, and from what I've seen in the cataloge US buyers don't seem to get all the cool stuff we get here. Probaubly to stimulate sales of higer end models. Also, we got some killer tax on engine displacement, so don't laugh, but I'm eyeing a 3 cyclinder 1L engine(rated at 70 BHP, weighing around 70 kilos, amazing), and after having test I'm convinced that's the car for me.
After 1 1/2 years of ownership, I must say this car looks very nice, but lacks in driving pleasure. Uncomfortable seats for long drives (no lumbar), uncomfortable driving position, difficult to drive manual transmission. It has some character, but Toyota still managed to give it that "disconnected" driving feeling. Oh yes, and don't ever think of putting your 6'2 buddy on the sedan's rear seats, it won't fit!
I agree with undelcared, but the Corolla is a better value I think, even though the Yaris is good for the money as well. My only gripe with it is that it's too small. Oh and the speedometer is in the middle of the dashboard...I don't know if I could get use to that
why are toyota yairs so reliable? Why are toyotas in genral so reliable? What do they do that American Manufacting doesnt?

True, but with it being on the side you need to turn your head a bit to the side to look at it properly making it even worse.

Why have the speedo in the middle of the car! You then have to take your eyes off the road to see it.
arp3giator 2 years ago
@arp3giator its not actually that bad when your driving you get used to it very quickly

Get the hatchback. Much more sporty and gets noticed!
auxmike 3 years ago
whats the hatchback? :S
09mason09 3 years ago
The hatchback is also known as the liftback. It does not have a trunk or boot, it has...well...a HATCH!

I have a 2008 sedan, and my friend has a 2007 hatchback. We both love the Yaris!

There are better small cars for the money. Honda Fit and NIssan Versa come to mind.
palebeachbum 3 years ago
At least there are choices in the B-car segment now for the U. S. I'd rather have the Honda Fit too, but to each his own.
musthavejava 3 years ago
Educate me for a sec, what is the B-segment? This leads me to ask, what are the A- and C-segments?

LittleDude490 3 years ago 4
ok then go explain to me why he said it was designed for girls!!

It's a good little car. It's definitely not a Ferrari or Lexus, but the Yaris is a good bargain that can get over 40 mpg on the highway.

Fork out the extra money for a Corolla, the difference between them is huge.

*Yawn* The Corolla is the most boring, run-of-the-mill, non-descript car on the planet.
At least the Yaris has some character.
