sounds like your waste gate is not working correctly...the sounds of a waste gate should be shuiiishhh one flat long sound not like yours. Correct that or your turbo won't last. Also if you want to see any difference change those tires for small ones and you will see a huge difference....

if you cant use that ecu to tune it, use a 300zx turbo ecu. those have been used to tune all sorts of engines. look up nistune

@jfkyz125 Hey, jfkyz125. Stick with your electric moped. You don't know shit . A supercharger for this X would be a power robbing, gas sucking piece of garbage since it is belt driven. And yes, if you ever driven a supercharged car...there is lag too. Nissan did do that on the Xterra and HP was still under 200hp. So, a turbo is better. I also have a turbo set-up on my 2004 Xterra. it features the ka24de inline 4cyl. producing double HP that will throw your ass to the back seat.

@jfkyz125 yeah you dont know about performance. think about it your using exhaust...a product of combustion that your engine has already used to spool the turbine to create boost. no horsepower loss. supercharger takes away from your engine just like an ac compressor. the reason people go to superchargers is for less maintainance.

I have an X too and i love it. i have 40 series super 44 exhaust and green underglow. i also set it up with some nice 24 inch rims, but it still wont hit a very high top speed. what can i get to help it get some extra zip? =)

@koobsw What I hear in the video is air bouncing between the compressor wheel and the closed throttle plate. If there is a blow off valve in the system, I'd advise lowering the spring rate on the bov's piston so that the air can get out easier. A blow off valve should have a smooth "whoosh" sound, not a bouncy fluttering sound indicating that the air isn't getting out like it should. Search for "SR20DET Compressor Surge". While it isn't truely "compressor surge", the results can be the same.

@carrottop432 not on a dual stage BOV. My HKS does the same thing. but it only flutters based off of low pressure (which wont hurt anything) because the valve opens based off of pressure. There is a low pressure valve and a high pressure vavle. when I make 1 or 2 pounds both chambers open and you get a bigger whoosh.

I suspect this is a KA-T. It shouldn't be much different than boosting a 240sx?

Really Nice Xterra, you need to put a nice intercooler and raise the boost 10psi-13psi, but don't go to crazy with it, and upgrade you fuel pump then play with the setting with the SAFCII. and a nice oil cooler. expect just around 310-330HP, want higher, valve train job fuel injectors, and polish the guts of the intake, and upgrade the throttle body and throw in a plasma ignition will bump you up to 380hp with a lot of TQ
