You can however find ethnic cleansing of the muslims in the east in the late 80s and 90s, attacks which the Tigers went on to appologize for. Yes I have been in those camps, many more times. There are problems like not enough water, sanitary facilities and garbage disposal systems. But there are no maggot infected rotten bodies laying around for days like channel 4 said. Use your common sense. My father was one of person who was caught in the riot and he was helped by his Sinhalese neighbor to escape. The neighbor told him the mobs had the voters list in their hands to identify the Tamil households. No one denies there are decent Sinhalese out there. Infact the ones living in Colombo among tamils are tolerant and empathetic toward tamil people. It is the hard core Sinhalese like the one in the video that make the situation impossible for tamils.
