@djosersex69 .. there is incubators but where i live is 29 - 30 Degress year round .... so thats what a incubators temp is at... i cant manuly give them a little water
Ok im in scotland atm right but im moving back home (south africa) im 14 will move at 17 and want to breed snakes like brian does anybody know any good incubators in south africa that i shouls bye for beginners?:)
So I've got 19 corn snake eggs in an incubator and they are on day 63 and the temps are 82.7 to 84.5 degrees, they all still look fertile to me but shouldn't they be hatching by now? The humidity is 95%.

In Russia I was my mom send me to shops in December and I couldn't open my door so I had to jump out of my second floor but the got stuck there for 4 hours lol
One day this summer I washed my truck using only a hose and two towels, made her all nice and shiny. Skies as clear as could be, and two hours later it was pouring rain!
Craziest weather? Probably Hurricane Charley during the Daytona reptile breeder's expo in 2004. Kinda freaky seeing air conditioning units get ripped right off the roof of the Adams Mark/Hilton hotel. :)

I think I have heard u say before u have red tail that u breed. I am a new breeder and I am startting off with my pastel and possibly het albino red tail boa. I am getting a male in October or November but I dont know what I should get I want to produce albino babies so should i get a albino or should i get a het albino. If there is anything u recomend i should get like books or size tanks i am open to all suggestions because i am new to breeding money is not a big problem. thanks love the show.
Once when I was in the Marines we were training in Alaska and it was 40 deg. below zero and you could see your breath freeze. No snakes up there. Really love your show. Best of any show on snakes anywhere.
hey brian since you guys made an incubation video and breeding season is fast approaching, can you guys make an episode about breeding? especially about ball pythons. thanks a lot!
I live in Louisiana and it gets into the 3 digit range more often than I'd like. What makes it so horrible is that while out west you usually have a dry heat, around here it's ALWAYS humid as 'ell and the thicker the humidity, the hotter it feels because your body isn't able to cool itself down as easy in a dry heat because your sweat/perspiration doesn't evaporate as easily/readily which is essential to keeping yourself cool . Give me a 100+ dry heat any day over this crap we get here!
In Response to Kel's Question of the week. The Most Extreme weather I survived was the 1979 Red River Valley tornado outbreak. It's most noted for the F5 tornado that hit Wichita Falls, Texas and is commonly referred to as "Terrible Tuesday" by many meteorologists. The Tornado ripped through Wichita Falls, and cut a 2.5 mile swath of destruction. The Wichita Falls tornado alone killed 42 people. An 8 miles (13 km) swath of the city had almost unheard of devastation. I Still live in Wichita Falls
my most extreme experience was when i was in florida a while back it was the middle of summer, i think it was near the 130 mark because my thermometer broke and that was its max, also counting the humidity, it was a boiling pot there :P P.S.love ur vids :D
Love the show :) I want to now when are you guys are gone do a show on Racks and Cages cause i want to build a rack but i have quistions on it. It will be for BP. Manly temp and size.
I'm from Wisconsin, and the most extreme weather we have is snow. Doesn't sound like much but when we get blizzards and get four feet of snow and seven to eight foot snow drifts its deadly!! Worst part is usually the power goes out and your stuck in the house for two to three weeks not able to do anything!!!!
Awesome video like always guys, and good luck with that payback. You guys should do an episode about your families. that would be cool to see. Mix it with the behind the scenes episode maybe?
Kel, i've been experiencing some odd weather over here next door to you guys over in Ohio. Beautiful and sunny 95 degrees all day, then thunderstorms with red skys at night and there's actually a huge rainbow outside my window right now.
jungjay602phx is right here in michigan are 80 degree weather is not extreme at all go to Arizona in Monsoon Season and youll get sandstorms lightning thunder wind heavy rain and its awesome but it is really hot there right now since its high triple digits btw my side of the family is roasting in AZ since they live there 0.0 i wanna go visit again.....but im getting off topic lol keep doing what you guys do and i hope to see more from you guys and seeing more of the clutches hatch!!!!
The most extreme weather... Volcano eruptions, volcanic sand rain for 1 day, thunderstorms, all of them during the same week about 2 months ago. Not to mention Guatemala is under 3 plate tectonics which increase the probability of an earthquake.
Growing up in So Cal, I remember one day it got up to about 87 degrees! So hot that my friends and I had to grab our surfboards and hit the beach, it was intense! (LOL)
hey my ringneck snake laid eggs in captivity, isnt that unheard of? two of them survived, one was an albino and died shortly after hatching. :o weird?
Brian and the Team great vid. I hope you dont mind, i chucked up a vid of the brown snake enclosure renovation. Being in Australia there are a lot of products that we dont have that you guys do but his is some great info. All the best
man i love all of your videos...i mean before, i used to think of snakes as some evil demon creatures that go out just to see who they can byte next.. but now that i really get to see them on your shows, i think theyre awesome and really pretty. You guys make everything hillarious!!!
Dude, I've been through some serious weather! I grew up with hurricanes and tornadoes in Biloxi. We lived in the NorthEast for a while for work, got to experience a couple of nor-easters there.
Hey Brian and crew, thanks for another great episode! It's always nice to see the "behind the scenes" of the industry - thanks for taking us into your walk-in, that was really cool. Lastly, poor George, you'd better gettem back.
the most extreme weather i have ever experienced was that we had a tornado/huricanne in the middle of july and it even snowed me and my family were having a snowball fight at 2:00 in the morning worst part was i had summer school in them morning
Most extreme temperature? While I lived in Kansas we had a winter that went down to -50F with wind chill. It was insane. The area basically shut down and school closed because the buses couldn't run in that temperature.
I live in Michigan now though, and the second winter I was here we got seven feet of snow in a month. Wasn't anywhere near as cold as Kansas though.
The most extreme? I was born in Bahrain, and it's off the coast of Saudi Arabia. While I was living there, daytime temperatures went as high as 50, maybe even 60 Celcius. That's 120-140 F for those who prefer Fahrenheit :P I think the usual is that after about 55 C, they stop measuring the temperature and just assume it's 55C; in fact, a taxi driver was able to fry an egg on the hood of his car one time. It clearly goes a lot higher than 55.
I've been caught in a mad typhoon in eastern Asia one year, out of electricity for 3 days and it rained non-stop. Totally cut off from the outside world, so glad I was with family otherwise I would've probably gone nuts. Then literally after the third day of the storms the sun was out again and it looked as if it'd be sunny for years. Weird planet we live on
You guys are so mean to George. I mean come on. You guys are gunna get it Payback it a B****. I would watch out. And Kel the most extreme weather was when a funnel cloud went over my house. then the tornado touched down tore up a walmart tore the front off of a fashion bug and tore the roof off of a deals it was crazy!!!! behind walmart was a flipped over truck!
My parents went through a drought in the summer of 1988 before I was born. My dad only HAD to mow the lawn only TWICE because there was VERY little amount of rain.
the most extreme weather i experinced was huricane winds that went on for days that knocked over cars, telephone poles and houses and it was just the winds and a blizzard that kept me out of school for a month. wow ohio calamidy jane.
To answer the question of the week, the most extreme weather i have experienced, was being in chicago a few weeks ago. I was with some buds going to the shed aquarium, it took 4 hours to get in with 90 some degree weather with humidity, and when we got out, the sky was pitch black, it started hailing and lighting badly couldnt find a taxi or anything. A few cars got flipped and windows busted out of the willis tower and hit a lady in the street. Was quite intense.
the most amazing weather i have ever bin through was a hurricane that ripped off our roof we fixed it and we live in florida it was one of the most extreme moments of our life thank god no one was hurt but that sure was scary
LOL...always love the show Brian!!! If this show was to ever stop, I don't know how my Wednesday morning routine would manage..... Keep up the great work, and I'd love to see some BP clutches after they hatch.
for the first incubator you showed, the "homemade" one, will it work for gecko's too or only snakes? i want to get into breeding gecko's but I want to save at least a bit of money when it comes to incubators. :)
will you guys please do a similar episode on different caging systems sometime? sentec, animal plastics, boaphile, vision racks and cages, herptek.... that would be an awsome episode and one that would really help me and others decide which one is the best on the market, which is the best value etc.
The one with humidity control interests me a lot! The space doesn't matter cuase i don't breed any snakes but right now i'm trying to breed uroplatus phantasticus. Love the DIY's you made man.
The worst weather we had here in Shetland was probably when it snowed and it ended up being as high as our garden fence! which is 3.5 feet, but that was a while ago.
Do you ever allow your females to maternally incubate? I know with the large scale production you guys have, it's probably easier to just pull the eggs. Just curious because this is the method I've been using and I find it fascinating and a really rewarding experience.
The most extreme weather i have eperienced was on jan or feb sometime any way i woke up and i was completely snowed in.For two weeks snow was every where and it was extreme.Any way good joke with the chickin eggs and thanks for the advise on incubators any way always good shows big fan by.p.s.awsom snakes.
Last year, my dad and I were night fishing at maybe 10:00. The water was as still as glass and it was quiet. Then we heard what sounded like a freight train coming towards us. It was dark out so we had no idea what was going on. Then a huge flash of lightning came out of nowhere, and when we looked at the back of the lake, there was literally a wall of rain coming towards in slomotion like something from 2012!Our boat was getting thrown around by the wind and we were soaking wet!

while i was on holiday in florida i was just swimming around in the pool my mum starts screaming telling me to get out i just ignored her until a sun chair flew over my head then a tree fell into the pool then i got out it turned out we were in the middle of a hurricane now i know when my mum tells me to do something while screaming do it quick
Hmm, I remember when i was in china the heat was literally 50 degrees! Man i was sweating buckets, and buckets of sweat! Where i was in China there was a certain "LINE" where you stand behind when there is a storm! I took the risk and stepped out of the line then suddenly there was huge drops of rain falling on me, and i see a huge TORNADO!!! it didnt do any damage, but i found it fun to jump while the tornado hit! it felt like i can really fly!!!!!!!
The most extreme weather I've experienced has to be at the top of the Alps about 6 years ago. I was skiing with friends and we were huddled against the -40 degrees celcius (with the windchill) on the chair lift. By the time we reached the top, with barely any visibility, my neck warmer had frozen to my lips with the water in my breath and one of the girls had had her eyes screwed up so tight that they froze shut and I had to sort of suck her eyelids til she could open them again!
Well hurricanes happen down here in the south. Luckily I live far enough from the cost they aren't a big worry. Still one hit directly one time. So me and 5 friends had a hurricane party. And we drank and played board games for 24 hours while the storm was going and the power was out. Good way to stay sane!
nice episode brian! just when i was about to research on incubators and pop goes your episode on incubators lucky me! I currently reside in the Philippines and typhoons are pretty common here but typhoon ondoy was by far the worst that hit the Philippines. imagine a whole day with heavy rain = one hell of a FLOOD. Alot the people got stranded in the buildings they work at/homes and the parked cars along the streets literally started floating moving with the current. now that was insane.
On Kel's, the most extreme weather I have experienced, was this winter. Since I live right next to sea, storms and strong winds are here more often. This year the snow locked me into my house, it was almost impossible to get out. We needed to call a snow-machine to get the snow outta the way!
The most extreme weather I have experienced here in Canada was a few years back.. It was like 10 or 11am and it was completely dark outside. It basically looked like it was still nighttime outside and no one knew what was going on. Even though it was dark our family had to go to the store and as soon as we entered the highway, it started POURING hail -- intensely. You could not see a single thing, and we were on the highway, some cars even completely stopped. We got home but it was intenseee.
Im breeding my frist clutch next year, but im not using a incubater cause i live in Austrailia ... is that alright?

RingshadowCat 1 year ago

Was quite intense.

for the first incubator you showed, the "homemade" one, will it work for gecko's too or only snakes? i want to get into breeding gecko's but I want to save at least a bit of money when it comes to incubators. :)

will you guys please do a similar episode on different caging systems sometime? sentec, animal plastics, boaphile, vision racks and cages, herptek.... that would be an awsome episode and one that would really help me and others decide which one is the best on the market, which is the best value etc.
many thanks :D

The one with humidity control interests me a lot! The space doesn't matter cuase i don't breed any snakes but right now i'm trying to breed uroplatus phantasticus. Love the DIY's you made man.

Do you ever allow your females to maternally incubate? I know with the large scale production you guys have, it's probably easier to just pull the eggs. Just curious because this is the method I've been using and I find it fascinating and a really rewarding experience.

Awesome show, guys!
