Newt Gingrich's tax plan is far smarter than Romney's, however an end to the estate tax is a big deal. Estate taxes generally only have an effect on family farms, rich people get out of them, normal people hardly get enough money to notice. Yet family farmers are essentially lower middle class Americans sitting on million dollar plots of land, so when they die the government takes half their farm & the land shrinks & shrinks.
