nice job! i have to say though, compared to the bakground, he looks like a paper cut out, try using overlapping lines and play with the contrast of the character and the background. if you play withthe shading of the buildings, make some more darker in certain areas than other for depth, and be carefull with ur lines, they are way too dark. By lightening them or just plain getting rid of them, u can get a naturel feel to it, unless of course thats what u wanted XD lines are mostly for guides ;)

Actually, as an experienced artist I don't use lines like nOOBs like you do. Look at a face in a mirror, does it have lines? No, edges are created because of surfaces, color and shading. Lines are just needed to sketch the global idea you have for an image, they shouldn't be visible when you're done.

You're 3D artist just because you use 3D software? What have you really achieved other then just doing project with a single object. If you want to get serious in 3D, then you need to design the whole image in 3D, background, sky, everything.
The problem with a lot of 3D artists is that they're too lazy, they don't have that will and determination to create a 100% 3D scene. Instead they often stick to cars, cell phones, shiny balls and a simple cartoon character and add a photograph for the background... how boring and not challenging at all.
Often they try to make 3D characters, but guess what... they suck in 2D, yet they still think they can design good looking 3D characters. That's why they often stick to cartoons or scifi, it allows them to hide their lack of anatomy skills, after all... there are no rules how things should look in cartoons/scifi.
Basically what I'm trying to say is this; be honest to yourself. If you suck in 2D, then improve your skills in that area first. Don't make a jump to 3D thinking you might be able to render a famous actor, when you can't even make a realistic looking drawing of this person...doh!
Of course, if you want to stick in 3D to these fanatasy figures, cartoon characters, metal balls, cell phones, etc, then go ahead, but don't be surprised if you never achieve the level of those in 3D gallery at cgtalkDOTcom.
Btw, don't take it personal, but your web design skills suck. Your site looks very nOOb with that background, page counter (only 30 visitors?), irritating mouse cursor, text way too close to edge, etc. But hey, what do I know with 3.7 million visitors/year on my site, right?

And as for all that, let me start by saying, I have made 3d scenes 100% 3d, and if you took a few minutes to scroll through my 100+ vids instead of spending so much time commenting you would have seen them! Ok, now that thats cleared up, lets talk about you. I can tell just by reading your comments that you have an incredible need for acceptance from others. Bragging about website hits, you obviously care more about what people think of you, rather than your own work. I dont know if you ever really had the passion for art, but its definitely gone now.

If you look at his art you can see he is a fine 3D animator. Just take a look at some of his pieces. It is apparent that you are just one of those people after leaving so many comments that just like to bash others. Constructive criticism I can see is alright, but the feel you are putting off is not consturcive.
